My first time trying Detroit pizzas and these sourdough pizzas are light and fluffy inside and crispy and cheesy on the outside. These pizzas were so satisfying and Peter Piper is probably my go to now. Lovely spacious patio and staffs. They also have a parking lot so it is a major bonus. Especially when we travelled with a dog. Will definitely come back here again.
Loved both pizzas that we tried! The Double Trouble had a generous amount of pepperoni, great sauce and cheese. The What’s the Dill Yo was surprisingly delicious, especially if you are a pickle lover! I think ours was missing the mustard drizzle but still loved it. Excited to try the other options. Would highly suggest giving it a try! Ordered on a Friday night and pick up time was about an hour after we ordered so would suggest planning ahead!
Pizza was amazing, not my first time trying Detroit pizza but definitely my new favourite. The crust was had a nice crispy edge to it and was caramelized. The toppings weren't too heavy so you could really taste and enjoy everything they put on. I got the lasagna pizza, so good! Definitely recommend getting it while you can. The staff were also so friendly and welcoming. They were talking with us and making jokes as we were ordering, made it feel like a real neighborhood joint.
These guys got their pizza dialed. I’ve never had Detroit style pizza that was this light, and not just a dense block of dough and cheese. The crust is phenomenal. Perfect bread to crispy cheese ratio. Great topping selection, and a nice outdoor patio to eat on. 10/10 would eat again.
Crust was amazing.... perfect sourdough and crisp. We tried Peter Piper, he said will be spicy. Flavors were not as strong as expected. Toppings could be slightly more. All in all the taste was good but can improve a little more. The quality is amazing. It's a small space with an open patio perfect for summers. Vegetarian options: They had good vegetarian options and the crust does not have egg.
Detroit and Italian style pizza popular from San Francisco. Nice spot in the east end, staff are friendly. Used to be the old Billy's burger place. Really would rate this 4.5/5. Delicious pizza crust is crispy with airy dough and crispy cheese edges. One pizza is enough for two for a light lunch. We had the Peter Piper: Nice balance of airy sourdough bread with sweet tomatoe sauce and right amount of cheese. The dollop of whipped ricotto cheese and honey on the top was nice to off set the spicy jalapeno slices and pepperoni. A bit greasy, but expected for a pizza. Liked it more than the other very popular Detroit style pizza place, D***end***s, a few blocks away. Wish it had more vegetable based pizzas on the menu. Only outdoor seating for now...6 picnic tables with umbrellas outside. Perhaps needs hand cleaning wipes for after. Pizzas are $18-$19 a pizza. Overall will get again and is now my chosen Detroit style pizza place.
First time here. The pizza is a little pricy $19 each. The pizza store is clean and tidy. I place my order online and they text me when it is ready to pick up. However when I arrived. They are still making it. They have a 5 nice patio table outside. Only one with patio umbrella. The pizza is worth money and the wait. It taste amazing, little mind sour taste in the fluffy pizza dough. The crust is medium brown with little baked cheese, although the edge in the picture looks burnt but they are golden brown color edge. I can tell they use a lot of effort to make them and use high quality material. I order 2 pizza just cheese pizza and mushroom pizza. It is enough to feed 2 adult and 2 hungry kids. Well done Slowhand Pizza. I will be back.
Totally worth it. Their sourdough crust is the best in its class. Perfect crust factor, beautiful dark golden edges, the most pillowy, air pockety crust you could ask for. The dough is where they really shine. And the service; staff was super friendly and easy going they make it a great vibe. It was a lot of fun to just chill out here and have a great pizza. Sauce is a little on the sweeter side, cheese was awesome, roasted mushrooms are a really nice touch, the pepperonis crisped around the edges which I love. The olive oil drizzle on the cheese pie could have been a lil more sexy, it was a flat round oil it didn’t add anything to the pizza. Comparable to 8Mile, however crust here at Slowhand is one of a kind.
Please try this place! Airy dough and great toppings. We got peter piper which seems to be a popular choice. 2 people can share one pizza for a decent lunch. Will definitely be back. Interior is very cute with seatings indoors and out.
Loved the place! Vegetarian friendly and dare I say one of the best pizzas in Toronto at the moment! The pizza takes about 15 mins to get ready once you’ve ordered but definitely worth the wait! Will be coming here again Vegetarian options: They can make every pizza vegetarian! I went with a friend who’s vegetarian who can’t usually experience pizzas with hot honey cuz they always have meat and they subbed it out for mushrooms!
