First time trying Japanese-style pizza. I ordered the "Mentai Mayo" Spicy Cod Roe Mayo and Potato Pizza. It was tasty and definitely unique. The staff I'm guessing they are the owners are friendly and service was good. Would go back to try the other Japanese-style pizzas.
Friendly staff! I had Japanese pizza before, and it is just as I expected, very tasty. I ordered “mentai mayo” and “bbq beef”. Both have balanced taste of pizza dough and its toppings. We’ll come back again!
Although we are full after dinner, we decide to check out this Japanese pizza place. We ordered smallest size of the Mentai Mayo pizza, it is fresh made and taste amazing. Love the potato salad on the top and the pizza is really thin which brings more favor!! Definitely will visit again!!Food: 5/5
Delicious asian-style pizza! Tried their "Mentai Mayo" spicy cod roe mayo and potato pizza. Delicious! The cheese and the sauce tastes exactly like what western classic such as pizza and pasta taste like in Asian countries. Tasty, robust, sweet, and salty. The dollops of potato were soft and pillow-y. And the cod roe in the sauce was a great flavour addition. The dough was also really good! The crust had a nice crunch and it was enjoyable on its own. There's a place to dine-in upstairs. Staff were friendly and helpful.
This place was recommended by a local friend who knows my penchant for unusual eats. You order up on the touchscreen, which explains the pizzas in great detail. The kitchen staff were very friendly. A few tables upstairs if you want to eat in. I tried the fish roe pizza and it was delicious. It definitely had a good umami flavor. I would have doubled down and added bonito flakes and a squeeze of Kewpie mayo to really give it an okonomiyaki twist. Bonus points for the unsweetened ice tea. Overall I liked it here!
Located near Dundas Station at Gerrard and Bay, Pizza St. Tropez is the first international branch of the popular Japanese pizza chain originally from Osaka. Offering a twist on traditional pizza, this restaurant brings together Japanese flavours and innovative combinations. The restaurant features a modern electronic order system and menus on the first floor, while the second floor provides a comfortable dine-in option with seating for about 16 people and air conditioning. Please note that the establishment is not fully accessible, but there is a single washroom upstairs. The staff owners at Pizza St. Tropez were polite, friendly, and helpful. They readily provided recommendations and assistance through the digital order system. For added convenience, the restaurant offers online ordering via Snappy, making it easy to place your order and view the menu. The menu at Pizza St. Tropez offers a wide selection of Japanese-style pizzas, blending traditional and innovative flavours. Pizzas are available in three sizes: Small 8", Medium 10", and Large 14". Alternatively, you can try the Pizza Bento option, which includes a 10" pizza with sides of Karaage and French Fries. During our visit, we ordered their "Mentai Mayo" Spicy Cod Roe Mayo and Potato Pizza, Teriyaki and Savoury Mochi - Taste of Japan, Pizza Saint Tropez the signature pizza, BBQ Beef with Scallion and Mayo, and Chicken Karaage. The Mochi pizza, with its hint of sweetness, onions, and mochi, was a definite group favourite. The Pizza Saint Tropez, topped with raisins, provided an interesting twist to the classic combination. The "Mentai Mayo" Spicy Cod Roe Mayo and Potato Pizza stood out with its rich umami flavour and creamy texture. Although the BBQ Beef with Scallion and Mayo pizza had a slightly overpowering BBQ sauce, it still delivered a satisfying taste. Overall, the crust and base of the pizzas were delicious. Would recommend coming back to try more of their pizza flavours available! Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, this restaurant is not accessible with stairs only access at entrance and to the second floor.
This is a takeout joint with no parking. You order downstairs, and then go up a level to the eating area. Ordering is done via a large touchscreen, which is legible and informative. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely delicious. 3 of us ordered different pizzas and Karaage. All were great. Highly recommended!
Service - 5 stars Food Flavor and Quality - 5 stars Speed - 5 stars ——— Overall 5+ stars HIGHLY RECOMMENDED I’ve been here 3 times close to closing and every single time the owners are the extremely accommodating and welcoming. Not only are they extremely friendly and understand but their Teriyaki and Savory Mochi pizza is the best pizza I’ve ever had. You wouldn’t expect Mochi and pizza to go well together but somehow it works. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing owners :
Really unique and extremely tasty Japanese pizza tucked away in a little shop by Tim Horton’s. Have to say, I had not so high expectations for this place but the reviews by others are so positive for a reason. The topping combinations are really unique and all delicious particularly when combined with great cheese and a nice cook on the pie towards the well done end. Highly recommend the BBQ beef and scallion pie, as well as the teriyaki and savoury mochi pie taste of Japan pie. The pies were all quite light and crispy, had the perfect ratio of toppings to cheese to sauce, and were not too greasy either. Could have used a bit more char on the bottoms but that’s probably the only critique I could offer. The owners are super friendly and the pies came out quick. Probably 10-15 min turnaround time for 3 pies plus some karaage. Fair warning that the extremely spicy karaage is indeed quite spicy but also very tasty.
I tried the cod roe pizza and chicken teriyaki. I’m not sure if it’s the mix of the mayo, cheese and fish for me but I felt sick pretty instantly. The chicken teriyaki was better but nothing mind blowing. Nice owners, place is quite small and very minimal. You have to eat upstairs. Fair prices but note that the pizzas are small. Probably wouldn’t try again.
