I wanted to share my experience with booking a wedding with Pictou Lodge. Initially everything ran smoothly and seemed like easy planing. I was speaking with one person who notified me of rooms that we're available that night etc, a week later I was then switched to another person who again did the same thing. The problem was, both people told me different things when it came to availability. I then called to sort it out, and the reception told me something completely different again. It was becoming very frustrating trying to get the rooms reserved. After a month of thinking over things, I decided that I no longer wanted to get married there. I emailed to cancel and as per there contract I was unable to get my $1000 deposit back. However they wouldn't even let me use that money for a stay at there lodge. Considering the wedding was booked on a Sunday (when I spoke to the person on the phone I may have been the only Sunday wedding of the year) and I gave them 8 months notice of cancellation, I would of at least expected to be able to use the $1000 as a credit. I am very disappointed with there organization and service. I will not be recommending this lodge to anyone for a wedding.

Beautiful venue. Sitting on the edge of the world, you'll enjoy views of scenic ocean front. Rooms were clean and tidy. Great pillows. Very accommodating venue for a conference. Worth the trip.

Beautiful cabins that are well worth whatever you might pay for them. Right on the water and the service is excellent.
