Our hotel is the newest in the area and we are pleased to offer a beautiful hot and cold buffet breakfast included in the rate. We have 125 modern, spacious guest rooms that boast triple sheet bedding, 40” LCD TVs, exceptional WiFi access and a desk/work area in every room. Guests have access to our pool, 80' waterslide, hot tub, fitness centre and business centre, BBQ area and lots of parking space with easy thruway access for large trucks. Cannot say enough, how pleased I am with this hotel. We were in the area for a wedding. They accommodated us by allowing us to book in early so we could get ready. They also allow us to have our doodle stay with usnStaff was local super friendly knowledgable . Made our stay personable, asking questions about our stay and what we were doing where we were going.nRooms were spotless. I do believe they were recently updated.nBreakfast was fresh plenty full and availablenWould definitely recommend the Holiday Inn and Stellarton and we will definitely stay in the area again if we are back!!
Check in was great. Carmen is a very friendly, knowledgeable, and can turn your mood from grouchy to happy with one smile. Very young but I’m sure will be getting promotions to head office in no time. Offered her a job on the spot but I think she thinks I was kidding haha. Room was great, food was ok, town was terrible haha. Overall great visit due to staff.
Really enjoyed our night here.nnService was good, and the room was comfy.nOnly issue in the room was our AC unit didn’t work.nThe room was warm so we just opened the window since it was 9°C outside and that fixed the issue.nWe were in room 206 totally forgot to mention this to the staff so hopefully they read this!nnThe breakfast was good and staff were super friendly.nMy kids LOVED the waterslide!
If you are a sports team or traveling with children 6 or over, I’d suggest selecting another hotel. We had hotel staff stand in the hallway stalking our children while they were doing their best to bond with their team. We asked if there was a room we could rent so the team could play mini sticks and burn off some energy, the answer was no. We went to the pool only to have staff come and monitor us and the children. In all cases, all the parents were present and no, we were not in our rooms drinking and letting the run wild. We were simply a hockey team traveling that wanted to build a little team spirit by acquainting our boys early in the season. We will never stay here again as a team and I for one will never stay here again as I travel frequently and have stayed here in the past. Very disappointed in the staff and how they handled the situation. The price was crazy too for the time of the year. Considering our team booked 10+ rooms in the off season, you think they could have accommodated us in some way.
The front desk staff were pleasant after a long drive.nThe room was comfortable but not cleaned completely. The mirror was filthy with splash marks of toothpaste and soap and wanting to use the fridge, my husband opened it to find a previous guests paper bag of food still in it. Very disappointing after mentioning the issue, expecting a call from a representative and not receiving one. After 4 nights of hotels between Ontario and Nova Scotia and back this was the most costly and YET the worst for room cleanliness
