Our hotel is the newest in the area and we are pleased to offer a beautiful hot and cold buffet breakfast included in the rate. We have 125 modern, spacious guest rooms that boast triple sheet bedding, 40” LCD TVs, exceptional WiFi access and a desk/work area in every room. Guests have access to our pool, 80' waterslide, hot tub, fitness centre and business centre, BBQ area and lots of parking space with easy thruway access for large trucks. We stayed here for a few nights while traveling through and exploring Nova Scotia. We checked in quite late the first night as we were traveling from Fundy national park. We encountered an issue with the jacuzzi not working. We were kindly moved to a new room that the front desk clerk ensured herself was working prior to us moving as it was now almost midnight. After deciding to stay another night, the manager on duty the next day Kory, I was told was his name really went above expectations to resolve and rectify the situation for the inconvenience this may have caused us during our stay. Very impressed. I can honestly say, many of the staff we encountered working there truly care for their guests. From the older gentleman working when we arrived that night the caretaker, I assume that helped guide us and unload everything to our room. The extremely pleasant and personable Hailey working the next morning, whom helped us renew our stay and get in touch with the manager. It's amazing to see her interact with other guests as she has such a natural ability to make connections with each guest she talks to. Someone who is truly guest focused and happy to be there doing it. The rooms were newly renovated and very clean. Few little tweaks that need to be fixed or looked after during renovation to rooms. They did fully state in booking that this hotel was under renovation and some things or amenities may be affected. Like only one floor laundry available instead of two normally. Breakfast was great and made for easy go to so you can enjoy next day excursions planned. Reasonably priced for all amenities included and if you have children, they will love the waterslide pool!!! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.
This weekend we did not have reservations and it was late night but decided to try anyway. The night clerk was so empathetic to our situation but unfortunately did not have place. She went out of her way to try to help us by checking other hotels in area for us and provided us with hot coffee and water for the drive ahead of us. Definitely would stay there if visiting again, this time with reservations!
Reception staff were excellent. Friendly and very accommodating. Every one of them. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Some furnishings could use replacement but nothing damaged.. just not ‘new’. Pool was clean. Breakfast was great! Would certainly stay here again.
The room was nice and clean, I liked the little fridge sink and microwave in our room. I didn’t book the room however I was surprised when I was told the room sleeps 5 to 6. There’s a small room without a door with a small bed, a single I believe, a queen bed and then a pullout couch.. wasn’t expecting that I figured it would be 2 queen beds, and possibly a single or double, no extra blankets in the room but plenty of extra pillows. A couple bags of garbage were left in the hall we noticed during check-in and still there after we came back from dinner. There were lots of kids running around, we could hear them very well running upstairs back-and-forth. It was not a very quiet stay. There is no hot tub, but the pool is open until 11pm.nnThe biggest issue I had was with a staff member being rude. When we asked for a towel at 9:45pm for the pool, the staff member complained at the number of towels she had given out during the day.. nobody in our room had asked for any towels during our stay so I didn’t see why the amount she had given to other visitors was relevant. Again she said she could not give out any towels as she only has three left. We told her we needed towels and we didn’t have any in our room that weren’t wet, and she went down the hall and got some. I know it was busy during March break with all the kids in the pool, but it’s not our fault at the amount of towels other visitors used during the day. At exactly closing time, the lights were suddenly turned off, leaving us in the pool in the dark. No staff member came in to let us know the time. I don’t know if this is usual for this location, but it would have been nice to know as there is no clock in the pool room!!
What a fantastic little hotel! The pool is great and perfect for family fun! There's an amazing dining area with a lot of common space as well. The rooms are nothing fancy but they'll give you a good sleep when you need it!
