Braeside Country Inn

We loved this historic building! The service was great , the hosts were very friendly. Breakfast was a delicious, perfect amount of choices for a continental breakfast. I would go again if I would get in the area!

Nice building and nice rooms. There was a doe and 2 fawns in the backyard.nnThe AC was kind of loud. The breakfast is basic and limited but good. The hospitality workers were nice as were the other guests.nnLocation is nice, 10 minutes to the PEI ferry allowing for one to quickly hop on. It's also near a harbour and a good many food options.nnOverall, it was pretty nice.

Very disappointing stay at this property! It looks nice from the outside but the rooms are desperately in need of an update. The furniture looks to be cheap second hand and certainly not antique.nThe bed was hard and uncomfortable and the mattress was covered with plastic and a very thin mattress cover-horrible!nOn a more positive note, breakfast was OK and the location was good.

Charming inn, built in early 1930s as a hotel. Very helpful owner. Nice continental breakfast with a fabulous freshly made fruit salad. No elevator. Nice little deck with chairs and table for sunny days

This is a beautiful and cozy inn. This is the way an inn is supposed to be. Today, with long chains of various “Vacation Inns”, the old school, bed and breakfast inn is often lost in oblivion.nnThis place is reminiscent of the simple travel lodges, which would provide a bed for a weary traveller.nnThe owner manages the place and is emblematic of the maritime hospitality. The rooms are simple, clean, and you have everything you need. It’s not a fancy 3-star hotel, but instead a true inn.nnIt’s places like this, and our patronage to such establishments, that protects the “small town aesthetic” from being taken over by large chains.
