Pickering Public Library - Petticoat Creek Branch

This would be a great place to study as it has big, bright windows and is decently sized inside. If I didnt know any better I would think this was a cafe... the staff who work here are so loud as well as other people sitting inside. They have their laptops on full volume...isn't a library supposed to be quiet? Maybe invest in an enclosed study space/ rooms for people who actually want to get work done in a quiet environment that a library is supposed to provide...

I love studying/working here. They have large windows looking over nature and there are always seats available. It can get a bit loud sometimes, so if you're looking for a quiet spot this may not always be it. Great for collaborative groupwork though!

If you are looking for a place for quiet study, forget about it! Everyone here is loud. Workers bang CDs while putting them on the shelves, oh, one employee she is soooo loud. In my mind a library is a quiet place to read etc. The "quiet reading room" btw is all booked out for the week is always booked with other activites. What is puzzling is that, the northside of the library has lots of space for activities like the ones I observe in the "quiet study room", but is rarely utilized. I only come here bcz it is close to my house and I need to do school work before I get home after school, but honestly, home is quieter thank this place..... sounds like a bees hive!!!

It's a small library compared to the Pickering Central Library but close to home and my son can usually find something here to read without a problem. If there is something you want that they don't have they will order it from another library if you are willing to wait a few days. They also run community programs for free for various different age groups throughout the year.

The library section can get noisy between 14:00 and 16:00! People chatting and not much reading and studying going on! It should be a "quite" facility to accommodate people who use the library to study, read, and research, as it meant to be!

Excellant quiet location with all the benifits of the main branch...including a Tims next door. Plenty of free parking. A park including basketball nets. Community centre is attached for multiple functions. Great atmosphere for the entire family.

This library needs a quiet area for those who need a serious studying to do this feels more like a daycare than a library - there are barely any good selection of books here.

Perfect little library. Has cute section for kids ready and colouring. Good selection of current DVD/blue rays as well.

This is a pretty good library with very modern selection of media and a great view. If you only go to 1 library make sure you go to this location!

This is a great library to study at. Wonderful atmosphere.
