Story

Piazza Romana now offers seating for 200 people in four beautifully decorated rooms, Capri, Sorrento, Roma, Pescara and of course our terrace for beautiful summer nights on the lake shore. Each room provides customers with a sense of comfort which is accentuated by the cozy decor and familial staff.

Located in the heart of the quaint Pointe-Claire Village, Piazza Romana has been charming guests with the Italian tradition of delicious food and warm hospitality since 1971. The Odoardi family continues to off the warm ambiance so typical of the traditional Italian manner.

The menu features the flavours of classic Italian cuisine and includes Chicken Romana, Sole Filet, Risotto Primavera, Marsala Veal, Pasta Romanoff, and a very special table d’hôte menu. The comprehensive wine list includes vintages from around the globe and has been assembled to complement the every course.

With seating for 200 guests in four beautifully appointed rooms – Capri, Sorrento, Roma and Pescara and of course our terrace for beautiful summer nights on the lakeshore, Piazza Romana is delighted to host your next special event.

If you’re looking for classic Italian dishes, this is the place to eat in the West Island. All the dishes we tried were simple, yet delicious. They are all made with fresh, quality ingredients and the portions are quite generous.nnLocated in the charming Pointe-Claire Village, the restaurant has a cozy vibe and the staff are very welcoming. It’s a great place for a family dinner or dinner with friends. It’s also a good place to pop into on a weeknight after spending time shopping in the area.
We’ve been coming to Piazza Romana for a long time, and it used to be much better. Lately, however, it’s been nothing but disappointment. To start off, the Italian sausages two people in our party ordered as appetizers were overcooked and dry—completely unappetizing, not to mention the food taking way too long to arrive in general. The calamari was just okay, and at least the bread was good. The drinks were strong whether that’s a plus or not is up to you.nnTo make matters worse, it became freezing cold at the table—my poor parents had to put on their winter jackets in the middle of their meal. They couldn’t fix it, likely because the furnace wasn’t working—absolutely unacceptable for a cold December day.nnOn top of all this, someone in our group asked to take a slice of pizza home, and it never showed up.nnThere weren’t even any Christmas decorations—why not bring a little holiday cheer? Why do they continue to let standards slip like this?nnUnfortunately, we come here from time to time because certain traditions die hard, but every visit leaves us asking: why?
We had an amazing experience at piazza romana! We held our son’s baptism lunch there and we were blown away by the great food, friendly and attentive staff, fast service and beautiful room. We can’t wait to go back!
The food was good, but lack the attention to their customers. Missing items. Lastly, the waiter Corey S wanted more tip, the norm is either 15-20%. We gave 18%, was expecting more. Made us feel cheap at 18%. Not cool!
Think twice before booking at this restaurant. Very poor management and awful food quality. The food made us sick. My first and last visit to this restaurant. The meatballs were as hard as rocks. The pizza was awful. Both the coffee and key lime pie were stale and cold. Our waiter had no interest and tried to come up with excuses for everything. We reached out to the manager Rosy and conveyed our unpleasant experience at her restaurant. She appeared as if we were bothering her and did not take responsibility. Very disappointing. We spent $170 that was thrown into the garbage.
