The restaurant seems like a family owned restaurant. Every staff member is very friendly. We ordered house special pho and spring rolls. They were very delicious! The broth is quite rich and they give you good amount of meat. The spring rolls are crispy. They give out lots of basil leaves
A nice no-frills Pho restaurant in North Burnaby. The portions were appropriately sized, the food tasted good, and the restaurant was clean. We’ll likely go back in future, next time we’re looking for Vietnamese food. A few downsides: they only take cash/debit, they forgot to make our take-out order so we cancelled it, and there were kids dancing around the restaurant. Edit: a month later we visited again, and this time they got my order wrong they fixed it though. Also, there was a lady sitting by herself talking loudly on the phone for half the meal. Food tasted great though.
Wanted some Vietnamese food and found this hidden gem. Family owned restaurant - the owners were really friendly. Great price for generous portions! Ordered spring rolls, grilled pork banhmi, grilled lemon grass/BBQ chicken pho, and beef pho. Has an authentic, family, cozy feel atmosphere. Cash and debit only place.
Came from Toronto with some friends and this place was so good it became our go to brunch spot for our entire trip. Pho broth was amazing and spring rolls were equally as delicious ! Owners were so nice & service was great. Would definitely recommend and come back here again.
Come here for the food and not the decor. A small family owned restaurant in an old building. Got the Bun Bo Hue and Beef Flank & Tendon Noodle Soup. Food came out fast and pipping hot. Nice broth, lighter than some other Vietnamese restaurants. No MSG. Not bad.
second floor. hidden gem for sure. all of the pho places are really getting expensive now and as a vegetarian and pregnant person me and my husband just took a chance on this place after going to cup n bun for treats for dinner. we weren't disappointed. there was no foul smell that i could smell. the tables were fairly clean and so far there were no dust i could see. however the utensils are sitting out in the open so do take your time to just choose. staff was not too good in English but good enough to communicate what food you wanted. i would suggest not to over complicate your order and be straight to the point bec of the language barrier. the old guy does seem to not hear or understood that i wanted hot water..he kept saying cold water. so we just let him be since we kind of knew he was just being helpful. if you want a special order do talk to the lady to make sure you get what you want. i also saw they had a young girl in the back so i assumed it's family oriented. they have lots of regular customers here. some know the old man pretty well. some clients are of different backgrounds as well and diverse in age. this just shows me that the place is really good with customer service. we ordered #17 beef+broccoli rice and ,V4 tofu+veggie soup. -v4 has a good bowl portion. my husband could not finish it. lots of veggies and their broccoli was HUGE! no special veggies added, just the usual carrots, cabbage, garnish, tofu simple, and etc. i loved that it had more veggies cz that's what cuts the rest above the best for us. the soup was not fully enriched with flavours as we had hoped BUT for us this is a bit of good news bec we dont choose to eat much salty food. and im sure there's no MSG in the soup. also their soup does not taste like stock soup from a can or box. we can actually just taste veggie broth from just the basic veggies they were using. ALSO you have literally the sauces on the side to make it how you like it. IT IS A SMART MOVE, don't make it salty so it's the base taste for people like me who don't like much salt and just put the saltiness after if you love your msg, siracha, spice, soy, etc. although they do add lots of pepper on top : -#17 my food was the best! HUGE PORTION!!! served to me in a serving plate!!!!!!!!! see pic. beed strips were not rubbery at all. it had that good burn on the edges that makes them have extra sauce. the broccoli was again HUGE!!!!!!! i can't put 1 in my mouth, that huge. i couldn't even finish the whole dish! it looked like i didn't even dent the size. also taste was GOOOOOOD! still couldn't finish it lol! I really hope this place stays exactly the same. except for the cleanliness of the utensils. that one can be improved. prices are low portions are gigantic!!! and tastes good like basic SMART pho that caters to the less salty people lol! this will now be our go to place aside from Broken Rice and Chad Thai. will update if more changes.
Great restaurant, small homely feel..clean delicious tasting pho and bhan mi, spring rolls were awesome as well..highly recommend Coffee.
With Bao Chau gone, this my new joint! Definitely check it out if you want good value, portions and taste. No AC, so on hot days it brings back memories of hot Pho in Ho Chi Minh. Parking: Park in back and skip the stairs
I don't really put out reviews for the simple reason that I'm lazy but i had to this time just because of how much I like this place. I used to work at the coffee shop down stairs, that's how I came across this place. This is the best mom and pop shop to just enjoy a homestyle Vietnamese food. The portions are honestly very good for the price they charge. Very friendly environment the owners always make me feel so welcome whenever I stop by to eat with my girlfriend. No disrespect but for their age the service is quite fast and good for only being the two of them managing the place.
Really delicious pho at an affordable price. You can't go wrong stopping here. The spring rolls are nice and crispy too. If you're in the area and you want good pho, try this place. There is plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant access from back alley. Also the couple that runs the restaurant are extremely nice and polite. Good service.
