Pho Hong Vietnamese Restaurant

This place has evolved in the last 20 years. The renovation to the restaurant added bonus to the ambiance. It used to be so outdated. Excellent food. The serving portions are pretty big. They have a variety of menu items to choose from especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. I recommend this place if you want an authentic Vietnamese food!

The original management made the place terrible but the new and improved? SO much better! The soup was flavourful and spring roll's absolutely delicious.

They’ve been around for a long time so they must be doing something right. One of the original pho places along this stretch of Kingsway for as long as I can remember. They have renovated though so the inside of the restaurant looks cleaner and more modern than the exterior. I order Bun Bo Hue whenever and wherever I get the chance so this review will be about the bowl I had here. 4/5 Soup - broth was tasty but would’ve liked it a bit more spicy for my own taste. 4/5 Meats - usual selection of ham, flank, chicken balls. Only thing missing was the pork hock. 4/5 Overall - Solid BBH here, would order again. I ordered the large size and the portion was very generous as seen in my pictures. They do not skimp on the meats. If you’re extra hungry or like spring rolls you can combo up and add one for an extra $1 I believe.

The beef pho soup is tasty and clear, but a little bit salty. The steak beef is very good, a must-try. The spicy pho is not as good as expected, too many sides and the noodle is too soft. The soup is not tasty enough. The salad shrimp roll is way too big, contains too much vermicelli, not enough herbs and vegetables. I personally don't like the sweet peanut sauce, the fish sauce would be a better match.

Generous meat portion in my noodle soup but the grill pork & spring roll vermicelli is a bit sugary in the pork, kinda too sweet for me. Spring roll is not wrap in traditional rice paper. Restaurant dinning area is nice and clean although rough look on outside.

Havent been here in the longest time but a friend convinced me to give it a try and it was very good. Great portions and delicious broth

This place has a nice quiet environment to dine in. It's a bit old but the food is good and the serving size is always huge. However, this morning. I was a bit disappointed with the tendon on my beef pho. It was dark colored and tasted almost spoiled. I didn't complain because I notice that meat when I'm almost done with my soup. It looks like they mixed new meat with old meat. So it might be my last time to eat there because of this.

My little one and me had a large size of Pho, tasty soup based. Deep fried boneless chicken was so tender and juicy inside. Deep fried fish cake was crispy and delicious. We haven’t been here many years as forgot but believe that they have renovated and set numbers of tables, more lighter. Price is reasonable and this restaurant will be our to-go list. Correct me if I am wrong, seems like they open 24 hours.

Good stuff! Solid Vietnamese restaurant with the usual offerings. Chicken and spring roll on vermicelli was a flavourful and generous portion! Their bahn mi is good as well. Would definitely go back.
