Temper your expectations, this is food court Vietnamese so you're not going to find complex broths or umami meats. What you will find is delicious spring rolls, tasty lemongrass chicken, and a lovely wonton soup for those chilly days where you need to warm your bones. The staff has always been super kind and efficient every time I've ever visited.
Had lunch here. Very similar to Vina Vietnamese, so I'm not sure if there's any relation/same ownership, etc. Ordered the small size wonton noodle soup, which hit the spot on a cold day! The 5 dumplings included were very filling and the soup was flavourful not watered down, which can be common at pho places and is often a hit/miss. The counter service was prompt and friendly. Would return if I'm craving some Vietnamese eats, spring rolls included!
Good quick Vietnamese food. I ordered the pho with 3 types of beef. The soup was hot and tasty, lots of meat. Soup could have been a bit richer, but after adding hot sauce was good. Satisfying. Portion was a bit on the small side, but typical food court size. The large size was about the size of a small at a restaurant.
I understand this spot is located in a food court, therefore my expectations need to be reasonable. However, the shrimp salad roll which consisted of three shrimp, rice noodles and iceberg lettuce - nothing else tasted like air. The tofu bahn mi lacked any substantial flavour as well, but it did have stewed tomatoes, onions and celery on it! Which added a very odd and mushy texture to the sandwich. At least I got a can of root beer with my dinner, it had more flavour than both the salad roll and bahn mi combined.
Don't order the house special noodle soup S7 expecting the standard Vietnamese pho restaurant house special. It's nowhere near the typical ingredients of beef slices/balls/tendon/tripe Instead you get grilled pork slices, minced meat, tiny peeled shrimp, and shredded lettuce??. This item demands to be renamed to something accurate, not "House Special". Even though generally house special is whatever a restaurant wants to define it, I've never come upon a Vietnamese restaurant that makes it anything but pho with beef meats.
Food and portion sizes are both good. I would go for the non-pho options simply because it’s a food court place. Crunchy spring roll is a huge highlight.
The worst pho I've ever had in my life. I ordered a large spicy chicken noodle soup. Every noodle thread was chopped less than 1 inch or 2.5 cm so there's nothing much to call noodles. I had to use a spoon to scoup them as if I were fishing some remaining chopped noodles from the bottom of the wok. Besides, the amount didn't seem right for the large size except the broth. I thought I'd purchased a fishing game. You know the game where you catch some stuff with this rod and a magnet at the end of a thread. Well, they surely succeeded in satisfying the customer 'cause it was fun. My secret to win some was giving up chopsticks and using a spoon instead, lol. Oh, btw, chicken pieces smelled a little even with the strong spice making me suspect that the ingredients might've been stored in a fridge a bit too long. Though at least, it got me reminded of the crabbing with chicken baits. Good ol' days~
Good simple Vietnamese food, that’s all there is too it. The people who work there are very welcoming and quick with their service. A nice addition to the Amazing Brentwood food court.
We go here at least every two weeks because we have always had excellent food here. The BEST spring rolls! The #5 is our favorite. Tonight we are opting to have it for our Easter Dinner to celebrate... it's THAT good.
Not really good not sure if the reviewers here are relatives or just naive when it comes to food reviews. I've been coming here as a local google guide for maybe 3x now and I say that their quality is not good the portions are so tiny, even the noodles are small. For a bowl of Pho you get half the amount of noodles and 5 meats that are not even cut big but pretty much the size of your palm cut into 4 pieces. I ordered an extra beef balls that cost around $3.75 and I basically got 2 beef balls cut into 4 pieces so it makes it seem like it's even. If you want good quality viet pho go to a restaurant not fast food style as they don't carry the same quality as restaurant at least on my experience of 10 years.
