Philemon Bar

Not amazing, not horrible. Philemon bar is in Old Port, where parking is terrible but it's a nice neighborhood for Montreal sight seeing.The bar is small and simple inside. You can order drinks and food as well, but don't go there hungry because food is very ordinary and they only have pasta... They look good, but the taste is plain. Music was okay and staff was nice. Wouldn't go back as you can try so many other bars in Old Port that are much better.

Doorman was able to quickly get us a table for 4 and we had great service! The only thing is that i find that the interior was extremely dark as if they had a power outage. Turns out the decor is very dim and music is quite loud.

I found this jewel of a bar on a late night walk in my neighborhood. I instantly felt welcome when I entered. Very friendly barmaid / bar staff. I love the crowd - A mix of Old Mtl residents and a couple tourists. age range 30+ , as a 44 yr old single woman I felt very comfortable Great whisky, great times!

The first and only drink we had was relatively strong but tasted horrible. We had decided not to tip, as it was already an expensive drink that we stood to pick up ourselves. no table service or anything. And because of that, all the staffers turned hostile on us. They told us they don't service people who don't tip. Even though we were paying customers. It really soured our experience, and was just sad overall. So beware, if you go here even if the service is not good/or they just do the bare minimum they feel entitled to a tip. Otherwise you won't be served. Would not return.

Awesome place! The music at this club was insane, every song was amazing and had everyone dancing EVEN ON TABLES! The only thing that i didn’t like was that one waitress brought my friends and i drinks that we didn’t order or ask for and when we said “we didn’t order these” she replied “it’s on the house”. half an hour later, she said we had to pay. i don’t mind paying for drinks but i didn’t like the sneaky tactic she used.

Always a good time at Philemon. The music is on point and the staff is super nice and friendly. If you’re there often you definitely feel part of a community. It’s my go to for a safe, great night out that’s for sure!

Daytime wine bar that has fun imported wines and nighttime becomes more of a club vibes. Staff seems to have fun and enjoy meeting clients. We met almost all of the staff and were nice to us!

We went here as a big group. The bouncer said give him a little bit of time to make space. We then got in. After some people got their beer, the bouncer said the section we were in was reserved and we had to leave that seating area. Very sneaky way to get us inside when they actually didn't have the space. And of course that section was left vacant for the entire duration 90+ mins that we were there.

Not accommodating for a large group - we had a reservation at 8:30 and our waitress only informed us at 9:30 that they stopped serving food at 9. Music was great lots of early 2000s throwbacks and drinks were okay.

April is the best bust girl EVER, Nia is the best bartender ever, never seen anyone better Tessa is the star bartender too, Steph is the BEST MANAGER FIVE STARS!!!!!!! LUIS PABLO & lightskinguyand JULIA is the SWEETEST OF THEM ALL & s/o poutine boys find us.
