Walked by on a Friday evening and decided to drop in because the reviews were good and the place was busy. We were able to get a table for 2 quickly which was awesome. Ended up getting drinks and a couple of appetizers. The food, service and ambiance were fantastic! The beer selection is quite small with only 3 different types of beer available Blonde, IPA and Red Ale but it looks like that is not the forte here which is fine. We would definitely go back and try some of the different cocktails or food next time.
So in love with this place! Chef Mathieu is so creative and insanely talented. The decor is simple and beautiful, the food is astounding and very different from anything else in Montreal. Brought some friends and colleagues and the only word out of the mouths was “WOW”. Has easily become one of my new favourite spots!
ambience ambience ambience!!!! went here for a birthday dinner with my girlfriends and the chef, environs, and service did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and make sure to get the arancini— the hot, supple center coupled with the crunchy exterior makes for a bite you can only dream of. The pizza was excellent— just wish there was more of it. And we got tequila shots on the house for our little celebration, a tribute to the care dedicated by the Pubjelly team to having a good time.
Who can resist Chef Mathieu culinary fusion masterpieces. Honoring the flavors of his local ingredients. Also, try those cocktails. They'll make a whiskey/beer drinking dude change his ways.
Really liked the experience, we did a walk in as we were a large group on a Friday night on a nice day. Staff was friendly, the setup is nice outdoors. Food was really good, mainly to share: the pizza, Gnocchi, Burgers, their Potatoes, the Shitake carpaccio, homard et crevettes and dessert
This was the BEST dining experience we’ve had in almost a year. We’re from out of town and decided to stop in before going to see a concert and I’m SO glad we did. From the food and atmosphere to the INCREDIBLE service shout out to Fredy and Chef Mathieu for their hospitality it was top tier. I would give this place 6/5 stars if I could. We decided to go with chef choice with the wagyu add on and paired it with a nice barolo. Each dish was done so beautifully and paired so nicely together. We will be thinking about this experience for a long time!! You both knocked it out of the park and we’ll be recommending you to anyone heading your way. Thank you for making our trip with such a special experience!!
Oh my goodness! One of the best seafood restaurants I’ve been to! Using all these ingredients to create subtle yet bold dishes shows chef’s creativity!
A must try tapas restaurant in Montreal! We had a lot of difficulty narrowing down what food to try, and ended up going with the oysters, potato fritters, lobster & shrimp, half pesto white pizza and half sausage red pizza, and rabbit cavatelli. I would recommend everything except maybe the fritters, as they were most simple in flavour. The vibe is very fun and it’s in a great part of town!
We visited Pubjelly on Saturday evening as they were just opening. It's very difficult to get a last minute reso here so we decided to walk in when they opened and were successful! our server was very nice and took care of us and recommended the seafood platter as we just wanted something light before dinner. The seafood was so fresh and the cocktails were delicious we will definitely be back.
Awesome restaurant, with great food! Good explanations of all the plates they serve and it will tickle your taste buds. 4 stars due to the fact the waiter is a little too commercial.
