We stopped in for lunch after a walking tour. Had no idea this place existed before today. IT was busy, but they allowed us in without a reservation. Considering how busy it was, I would recommend making a reservation. The atmosphere was awesome for such a small space. The staff was super friendly and courteous. The Lobster Poutine was great, and the Mrs. had the Lobster Mac n Cheese. The salad we ordered was also good, fried goat cheese was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this place.
Fantastic seafood. My wife had the lobster roll and I had the crab BLT. You can really taste how fresh the food is. Neither dish had a lot of mayonnaise so it really brought out the lobster and crab without being too seafoody tasting. The salad and the fries it came with rounded out the meal nicely and made for a perfect lunch. Good service as well.
One of the greatest seafood dinners. The oysters are absolutely amazing and everything is well presented. We had the lobster risotto and the seafood poutine which was extremely well prepared and tasty. Our server Yanna and the hostess were so sweet and made awesome drinks. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.
A lovely affordable oyster bar. Their crab poutine is to die for! The servers are all extremely kind and sociable. The food is very generous quantity. A must try in old Montreal and a hidden gem not to miss out on!
Highly recommend this seafood restaurant. Esthetically very nice decor. The food is amazing, I've tried many things on the menu and the seafood is always so fresh. They also have different kinds of oysters and you can order according to your liking, I can say they have the freshest oysters here. My favourite dish that I have ordered was the lobster risotto and it was devine. The risotto was creamy but not heavy with the perfect amount of lobster tail. I can say that the plates here are a big portion, so it will satisfy your appetite. Depending on when you go but weekend are usually very busy which is understandable. Service can be sometimes slow. Staff is always nice. One of the best Caesars I've had are here, so I definitely suggest to get some if you love Caesars like I do. It also comes with a crab leg. Definitely a must try in the old port if you are craving good seafood. They have pretty much every seafood there is. I highly recommend to small or big groups with reservation.
I was very hungry when I entered the restaurant. However, I still can not enjoy the food as I expected. I ordered lobster roll. The bread is had to chew and the fries are a little bit salty. Then for the lobster, the taste is so thin and I would like to say a hot dog is more flavorful than it. Maybe the only advantage of this meal is the lobster itself. What can I say, the item that gives me the deepest impression is the tomato sauce lol
Visited once as a traveller. Restaurant was cozy and friendly. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Meals came out relatively quickly. Menu had a variety of options although mostly all seafood in case someone in your party doesn't like seafood. Prices were a bit on the higher side but relatively reasonable. The meals were tasty with no complaints.
Pincette - Bar à Homard is a chic East Coast lobster shack located in Old Montreal, which I visited on a Sunday evening in February. The restaurant is conveniently located on St-Paul Street near the famous Place Jacques-Cartier. It features a variety of unique dishes, including lobster poutine, lobster pasta, and lobster mac and cheese, as well as classic dishes such as lobster rolls and lobster entire. The menu also offers seafood platters, fish and chips, clam linguine, and oysters. Upon arriving at the restaurant without a reservation, I was seated at the restaurant bar, which was of standard size. I tried three dishes, starting with the Tataki Thon, which was standard, well presented, but lacked in flavor. The Quedille Homard was a standout dish, with good presentation, excellent taste, and high quality. The Queue Homard was also very good, with an amazing combination of flavors and a demonstration of the chefs' expertise in handling lobster. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, I had to wait 40 minutes for the main dishes, which was longer than expected, but given the quality of the food, it was worth the wait. The restaurant is probably intended for having a few drinks while waiting, which is just perfect. Overall, I highly recommend Pincette - Bar à Homard for anyone looking to enjoy good food in a warm and intimate atmosphere. It's best to make a reservation, especially if you're planning to stay for a while or going with your partner. Additionally, it's best to stick with the lobster dishes. The bill without tip came to 89.68 CAD, which was fair for the quality of food and service.
Really excellent food and service. We had the risotto, lobster ravioli, and lobster and snow crab poutine. I don't think I could pick a favorite dish as all of them were delicious. Their cocktails were also great. It's best to book ahead of time in the summer.
It's a great patio to sit and have brunch, while people watching in the Old Port of Montreal. Ordered the Gravlax salmon benedectin and it was awesome! The hollandaise sauce was the perfect constancy and tasted great. You could taste the salmon but it wasn't overpowering. We ordered the rouge sangria which had a nice fruity flavour, yet you could still taste and feel the alcohol. I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm in Montreal. Kid-friendliness: There were kids on the patio Parking: There's somewhere close by to park, maybe a 5 to 10 minute walk.
