Pfeifer's Shoe Repair

Really nice staff here - I was in town for some business only so I asked if I can fix my pair of heels right away (otherwise I might go to another local store near my place which is a long way away). The owner fix my shoes right away in 15 mins and it's not expensive at all! Definitely recommend

I'm very happy with the service and the workmanship. I have been there twice to have my favourite boots fixed. The first time it was the sole and the zippers, the second time the leather had ripped on one boot. He fixed everything very professionally and for a fair price.

What a great service. In rough my boots in to get re souled hoping to get another year out of my favourite boots. When I picked them up, they were better than new and he even took me and my 2 young boys back to his work shop and took the time to show my boys how he fixes them. What a great experience. I highly recomend his services.

I have been bringing shoes to Pfeifer's for two years and every time I was satisfied and even would recommend them to friends because of their quick service and good quality work. I am sad to have to write a negative review but it seems as though everything has been flipped upside down there. I came in 3 weeks ago with a friend and we both brought 3 pairs of shoes. He said to come back in a week so we did even a few days past a week and the work was not done and the place was a mess! Shoes everywhere. I understand that this is probably his busiest time of year but it was highly unprofessional. One pair out of the six were done and we saw our shows spread in the front area without any tags. He told us to come back the following week so we did on the Monday but I knew it wasn't going to be done so I decided to try and go Thursday. When I got there was a note saying be back in 15 minutes and someone else was waiting. So I asked them how long they had been there and they said 25 minutes. Since I was only coming over during my break I couldn't wait. I came back the following day at 5 because their hours on their door said they closed at 6. When I got there he seemed upset and locked the door behind me so that no one else could come in. He was saying he was just about to leave and I was like but you should be open till 6. I then had to find my boots and my friends boots because the store was still a mess. 3 of the 5 pairs were ready and my one pair of boots were GONE. Just GONE. I believe they were stolen but who knows because he is so disorganized. He told me to come back Saturday and he would find my boots and repair the remaining pair to be worked on. I didn't go Saturday because I wanted to give him more time to actually have them done. I went in today and the one pair of boots were still not done and he could not find my other boots. SO DISAPPOINTING. He did end up reimbursing me for my boots and I just took all the shoes we brought. He was understanding and pleasant through this all but that's just one piece to running a good business. He failed on delivering his service and every time I was in there in the past few weeks it seems to be the same sentiment for everyone that I've witnessed interacting with him. I really do hope that he gets his act together because I want to support a family owned business and I know they are capable of good work.
