I have always dreaded bra shopping because I always leave feeling dissatisfied. Not today! Pennington’s is the ONLY store that I have found bras that fit my shape and size. I’m a 44G sometimes H, depending on the bra and all 3 staff were so helpful, I didn’t feel like I was “interrupting their work”. They made time for me, they made me feel important and respected. They were quick to find different sizes for me and not bothered at all that I tried on like a dozen and only bought 5. My husband and I were in and out of there within an hour tonight, and left feeling completely satisfied. I would happily go back for anything, not just bras. Again, amazing staff, very good selection, clean and organized store and change rooms. Very pleased!
Awful customer service!!! No help when I was looking and then I had to ask someone for a fitting room they were so caught up with a task they didn't know I was behind them. Then in the fitting room, I had to wander out of the fitting area to ask for help. In the end the item I wanted was the last one and they refused to hold it for a few days for me, didn't even offer to try and work with me take a deposit or anything. As a plus size woman shopping in a plus size store this was a very unfortunate and sad experience!!! I expected more and will never be back!!!!
I was shopping last week and heard from what I assume was the manager yell at a staff member, I can remember at least two other instances shopping here where I’ve witnessed the same thing. They’re usually just minding their own business and folding the clothes that the manager couldn’t be bothered to clean up herself. They really need to find management with basic empathy and respect for their staff. I can’t imagine the stress of the holiday season for these poor retail girls and to then get yelled at IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS to do something she couldn’t be bothered to do herself… appalling. Needless to say this is the last time I visit this location, I’ve always thought the Guelph location was cleaner and had kinder staff, I’ll be taking the drive there rather than go to the one close to home.
I have been to the Pennington’s location at the Boardwalk many times while shopping for work. I have never had anything but a positive experience! The various staff are always very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Yesterday when in store around 4:00, the “manager” was absolutely screaming at the staff in front of all the customers and then she stormed out of the store and left everyone in shock. It was terrible!
Love their many clothing options! The staff is always ready and willing to help.
Went in to purchase a few new bras and I wasn't approached by any staff. I was the only customer that was in the store at the time. I wasn't asked if I needed any help or if I needed to use the fitting rooms to try on anything. I won't be back to the location. I'll drive 40 minutes to Guelph to that location as have amazing service there.
Went in today to do a bra exchange and Karen was AMAZING! Give this woman a raise! She was sweet, kind, funny, and exceptionally helpful! Buying a bra is hard and sometimes embarrassing and she made me feel very comfortable. She brought in multiple styles and sizes to make sure I found the right one. When we found the right size, she then ordered the two styles straight to my home since they didn’t have them in store. She made for a very lovely experience and I will definitely be asking for her next time I’m in. Thanks again!
Great store for plus size women. Great quality. Prices are a bit higher. But the styles are hard to find so it very much worth it. Comfortable and friendly staff.
My mother has just turned 85 and in a short period of time is declining with Mobility. I have taken her some places to shop lately , one of them being a competitor of this store . Needless to say they were less than concerned over assisting my mother. Before I brought my mother into this location I talked to the staff and felt that they would be helpful. My mom was treated like gold, assisted, accommodated, and cared for from beginning to end. I have never been more impressed with a retail staff as I was at this location. They didn’t know whether Mom would end up buying something or not but they didn’t care, they were concerned that her time in the store was comfortable for her and that she felt valued as a guest. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back
