Pearl House Burnaby

Absolutely delish! Food came out fast and good. Clean and friendly staff. Def would come back! Beef noodle had flsvour and not watery. The Takayama were hella crispy though the sauce can be a little more sweet but overall still good. Chicken was hot and juicy, nothing to complain about.

a family member has dined here on several occasions, mainly for lunch. They offer an extensive selection of combo and regular menu items including a big selection of drinks milk teas, fresh juice, cream latte, shaved ice, etc. Mostly Taiwanese entrees. I had the spicy tofu with minced pork and rice. I asked for less spicy which wasn’t a problem. The prices of the entrees were in the medium price range. It seemed a few locals dine here. The place was clean and had good ambiance. Service was rushed. I told the server I needed a few minutes to look over the menu, and within a few minutes she was standing by our table waiting for the order. It took less than 8 minutes to get my dish and the other ordered dish took longer. I noticed one of the cook’s was chatting on his cell phone while he was cooking. Somewhat discerning when I didn’t notice him wearing gloves. The place is located in a mini strip mall just off Canada Way and Edmonds in Burnaby. Parking was bit of a challenge – either in the small parking lot or on Edmonds 1 hr limit from M – S. Not sure if I will be back.

We came here for late afternoon snacks. It had less customers during 3-4pm. We could pick any table that we wanted. The customer service was good. The server was efficient. We asked to order a cold fresh taro milk, a dish of Taiwanese egg roll and half beef and half tendon wide noodles in soup. Everything came out quickly. All of the food and beverage were like what we had in Taiwan. The restaurant blended real taro into the milk, so we could taste and chew on the taro. The egg roll smelt so good and it was soft inside and crispy outside. The broth of the beef noodles was like what we had in Taiwan. It had MSG for sure but not as strong as others. Beef was the shank part of the cow. It was soft Pricing was average. It was around the same as other Taiwanese restaurants in Lower Mainland. There is a parking lot in the same complex. If the parking lot is full, street parking is available as well. I would like to come back and try other dishes in the near future.

Thank goodness Pearl House reopened in the Edmonds area. BEST beef noodle soup in Burnaby!! Loved the fresh ingredients, melt in your mouth beef shank, and the super FRESH and chewy noodles. The kitchen knows what they're doing!! Thanks for an awesome dinner! Coming back again soon. Highly recommended!

First time here in awhile and it didn’t disappoint. I like the variety of options and combinations on the menu. Price also seems reasonable for what you get.

Pricey than previous Burnaby location, I had beef noodle soup, the soup tastes like water though.

Authentic Taiwanese food and nice service. I'm really impressed!

2nd time here. Portions were smaller than before, they forget the soup and we had to ask for it after the meal. Then when paying the waitress had said the bill doesn’t include tip obviously then we were still decent enough this tip a small amount. Then this waitress had the audacity to ask us to tip more and got angry. I explained that a tip is optional and I’m not paying extra for sub-par service. She gave us a dirty look and stormed off. Absolutely entitled and unprofessional service. NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!

Ordered pickup on new year Eve through doordash but got poisoned for me and my wife. We had brisk pork, fried boneless chicken leg and marinated beef tender. But after meal both my wife and me had stomach bloating and nausea. We tried our food in the evening and got better but tried ordered leftover again on the second day and immediately got the same feeling. I am not sure if this is just special case but definitely food or oil were bad so don't want to try again.
