Payless ShoeSource

I'm still in shock about the treatment my mother and I received tonight by a young woman at the Payless store at central city. I was in the midst of assisting my 78 year old mother find some shoes that she liked when the woman at the cash (her medium length hair is dyed grayish with dark roots) in a loud voice, as she was cashing out another customer said to me, you should put all those shoes back on the shelf where you found them." I was so shocked by what she'd said and the bossy way in which she'd said it, that I responded by saying, "I have no responsibility to put the shoes back." (ordinarily I would make every effort to help out the clerk. ). I went on to say, "I've never been asked to put shoes back." We then continued looking at shoes and were served by another woman with the last name Davenport who was amazingly attentive, helpful, kind and sweet. As we were leaving the store my mom suggested that she wait to work at the store for more than a week before speaking to customers the way she did. The woman responded by saying, "get out of my store right now!" Do you think this woman is fit to serve customers? Could customer service training make any difference in her ability to serve customers? I think not. Before she's fit to workwith the public, transformation needs to take place at a much deeper level. I sincerely hope she takes the time to reflect on her actions...life is too short.

I was being helped by a really sweet girl who seemed maybe new? Needed to get shoes off a high shelf in a different size. She was on the ladder struggling and then some other lady who seemed senior to her came and started scolded her in front of me Like "this is how shoes fall on people" etc. Poor girl just took it. If she's a manager or senior to her or whatever don't treat your employees like that, especially in front of customers. That girl probably felt embarrassed. Could have just kindly said "that's not the correct way to do it, here let me show you" and then do it. Then maybe talk to her on the side later when people aren't around on why she has to do it the correct way.

Poor customer service. I asked for help and the fat girl( employee) was talking on her cell phone with her friend having conversations about personal matter didn't show any interest and said sahhhhhh...instead of helping me she gave the prority to phone. It was really bad experience for me. Never ever gonna come back

Waste of money very bad quality of shoes also very bad behaviour with customer 's by staff.
