Reviews
This review is specifically for the cabin which is situated in the back of the property. The location is excellent. There is so much to do within less than an hour drive. We spent four nights there and it was not enough. The cabin was way bigger than I was expecting and had every amenity we needed for our stay. All we needed to provide was groceries. The price was perfect for the two of us and would be laughably affordable if two couples shared the cabin (it has two bedrooms). The entire property is a bit run down and in need of some work. That can be forgiven considering the absolute charm of the place. There is WiFi, but the innkeeper didn't know the password for access up at the cabin. If we needed to go online for something we were able to walk down to the main building and use it there. The only genuine problem, and it was significant, the cabin was exceedingly musty. While we were there we sorta got used to it. But when we got back at the end of each day after being in the fresh outdoor air, woah! It was bad enough we had to stop at a laundromat on the way to our next destination to wash all our clothes. The smell had permeated everything. I don't have any insight into the quality of the normal rooms. We only stayed in the cabin. Also, we stayed in the off season when the restaurant and bar were closed. So I don't have any insight there either. I was torn between a two and three star review. I decided to bump up a star because even with the unfortunate smell, I have no regrets from my first visit and would want to visit again.

Neat stop! Old school fun. Not luxury, but I loved it. Steak was delicious!!!

Enjoyed the historical setting and decor of the Lodge! We had dinner and drinks before returning to our campsite nearby. The service was great, the food was okay, and I plan to stop by again if I pass through.

Gorgeous scenery and setting. Rooms need updating, but are very comfortable. Buffet dinner at Thanksgiving was so delicious, but we were sorely disappointed with the regular menu. Nice bar and friendly service.
