Oceanfront Lodge

Don’t kid yourself about the views. Although the views are wonderful, it’s not enough to make up for the unhealthy, filthy rooms and the worst service. It is clearly a family owned business or seems that way. They give you filthy rooms and then gouch you for more money to get into a more decent room. They were not the least bit disturbed that they gave us a room that had garbage in it, that had a view of mostly the parking lot, and had furniture rearranged around it as if somebody had been working in the room. They also had sharp objects on the bed from where they had been apparently hanging curtains. So, we did get a room down the hall after insisting upon it..Although on the third floor, we had no screen on our window. The people next to us had a barking dog, and I could hear them as if I was listening through a paper wall.Thank God we did Not have children with us. This used to be a beautiful hotel with so much going for it when it was first owned by a larger chain. It is so sad that people of this caliber can let such a beautiful place run down into trash. Sadly,I do not recommend staying there!

This place was great! It's quaint and clean. We ate in the restaurant on site...good service, good food with an extensive selection of choices. Our room was small but next time I will get one with a balcony. However, the window actually opened to hear the ocean. I'd visit again.

Dated hotel. The owner needs to invest more money in renovating this property. Owner or manager was extremely rude. We ended up cutting our trip short because of dissatisfaction with the room. We cancelled the last night two days in advance per policy. I had to call and request a refund after they didn't give it 3 weeks later. The same manager / owner said he would take care of it. He did not. I ended up having to refute the charge with my credit card company. Hotel has a nice view, but there are much nicer places in town with professional and friendly staff.

Mid range hotel, well maintained. All rooms face the water; upper rooms have excellent views. Free breakfast is basic: a couple of hot items (hard boiled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles to order), bread items with a toaster (bagels, English muffins, muffins, Danish), cold cereal, yogurt, coffee. The room was clean and had a large, wheelchair-accessible bathroom, microwave, refrigerator, and single-serve coffee maker. Outlets were limited.

Nice place with a spectacular location. Our upper room had a great balcony with a view. A little noisy...thin walled basic motel furniture, relatively clean and a nice staff.
