I've visited Crescent City a few times a year my whole life and did not know this park was there. It's a neat little park with camping, a play structure, picnic area, and walking trails. We had a funeral reception at the picnic/play structure area. It was clean and well kept.
I would like to return here to camp in the campground.

My wife and I shot up the coast on an adventure where we didn't do ANY preplanning. We got in the car each morning and planned the next night along the way. Florence Keller Campground saved our butt because this area is jammed with people who did do there planning. There are no reservations in this campground. We drove into Jedediah Campground around 3. They said they were full but if we came back at 5 there were a few spots they would release and maybe we could be one of the lucky few that got one. Instead we shot on over to Florence Keller which is only, maybe 5 min away. There were maybe a dozen open spots. They were probably all filled up by around 6pm or so. The facility is nice. No showers as it's only a county park, but it was well maintained and the spots were nice. The trees were secondary redwoods, I believe, which means they're not as old and tall as the ones in Jedediah Park, but it was still beautiful. They had a couple little trails but if you're used to hiking, they wouldn't satisfy you. For that you'll have to leave the park and journey back towards Jedediah Park.

Great place to relax and enjoy camping. Play area for kids makes it fun for them too!

Great place to go camping, also this park has redwood trees so if the actual red wood forest is full then this is another great alternative as well. Enjoyed our stay
