Can't beat the price for the quality/quantity. My husband and I wanted some snacks to tie us over for dinner and this was the place. Sweet and savory pastries are abundant with some served hot as well. You grab a plate and pick what your want then pay. You do need cash though unless your Canadian which even then they will only take debit.

Love this little gem in the heart of Chinatown. Wonderful deals on pork and chicken buns. Look for the coffee and bun combo if you stop in. Food tastes great and the kids will find something to feast on. Easily could have spent more buying up treats to stuff in my backpack.

I LOVE this place! Absolutely one of my favorite things about visiting Montreal. I love everything I've tried here and the only reason it doesn't have five stars is that it gets too chaotic when busy.

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A GOURMET BAKERY.
1) They keep boasting about their "secret recipe for dough that makes everything taste great," yet fail to notice that that's what's making their pastries (and filling!) taste bland, uniform and unexciting. Sure, they have other kinds of dough and wrapping, but most stuff is made with the same dough.
2) Compared to New York, the prices are easily double or 1.5 times more. Actually, not all that cheap. For some of the prices, you're actually better off buying gourmet pastries or a fancy donut elsewhere.
3) The cartoon character buns looked nice initially, but the staff isn't sufficiently skilled to even keep the outer layer uniform; so it's all bubbly.
4) On the whole, quality has gone down. The cookies are tasteless, the sugar on the 3 skewered donut balls has started sticking to the oil and losing their whitish tint.

This bakery is very good and well located. The store is well lit and it clean. This bakery is very popular and they seems to have fresher goods. This place also is a little pricier than the other bakeries in Chinatown. This place is not wheelchair accessible and it is difficult for those who have strollers since the space can restricted due to the amount of customers.
