Party City

I just spent $60 in balloons on Thursday afternoon, for my daughter’s birthday party on Saturday morning. That’s TWO days! Less than two days…When we woke up on Saturday all the balloons were on the floor, deflated. My daughter started to cry!!!! I phoned Party City and was told by the man there that their policy is 24 hours guarantee. Tell that to the bunch of kids coming to my house to find the birthday girl crying and the balloons on the floor. Sure, you’re all too happy to redo the order if I dish out another $60, but not everybody can afford that much money on balloons TWICE. And before you condescendingly explain that I could have just picked them up on Saturday, again, not everyone can take time off to match the lousy quality of your product. Two days is not too much to ask for. This is the first time in my life that expensive balloons last less than 48 hrs. And you could’t even meet us halfway on fixing this! What’s your customer service line gonna do for us now?!?! Turn back time? Shame on you! That’s just bad karma.

Employee who assisted me was GREAT. The manager however was nowhere to be found, and left this poor girl trying to fill my balloon order and check out a line of waiting people. She finally sauntered to the front, and took forever to give any assistance to people looking for a certain product. If I was an employee here I would be so unhappy with her as a manager.

UNDERINFLATED BALLOONS THAT DO NOT LAST!!! We purchased helium balloons for a birthday party. They were underinflated and one was missing. Within 12 hours, one of the balloons was already on the floor. The store replaced the missing balloon and the deflated balloon. The 2 new ones were double the size. However, the next day 36 hours later half of the original balloons were on the floor. It is very disappointing. I expected the balloons to last at least a few days. I will go back to buying my balloons at Longo's. Those last for few weeks.

My husband came in on Sunday to grab a small set of balloons for my birthday. This was our first time at this location. We have always had an excellent experience at other Party Cities as well as dollar stores, private suppliers, etc.. Our balloons ALWAYS last several days sometimes too many....nnMy husband grabbed his order and came home immediately. There were no changes in temperature or other circumstances that would result in them deflating.nnFast forward less than 24 hours later and they are both deflated. I am so disappointed. It was embarrassing to host people and see them in this state. We did not know of any 12-hour policy I was told on the phone after the fact and even then, I have never in the history of ordering balloons seen them actually deflate that fast.nnI called the store today and spoke to a manager explaining that we'd like to continue to come there for our balloons and that we purchase balloons often, giving her an opportunity to rectify this. It was clear that she was not interested in making our experience a positive one and dismissed my concerns. She apologized and called it a day. I was extremely disappointed.nnBalloons are becoming very expensive and seeing them deflate less than 24 hours later is just unacceptable.nnWill not be returning.
