Great tasting but extremely over priced. Like many other food places, they take advantage of the supposed COVID excuse and jack up prices. Will go again; just not happy about the gouge.
Just got the fish tacos and I'm highly disappointed... the fish is so small. All I could taste is the toppings they packed the toppings. Plus I hate spicy food and it was very spicy because the cook put to much sauce on them. Used to be my favorite spot when I first moved here. Place is overhyped
I love the food. I grew up in New Mexico, so it is not exactly what I think of as "mexican food", but it is still great! I would call it Mexican-inspired. I love that they have good local beer etc. on tap too.Food: 5/5
I tried Parilla for the first time for takeout. They had lots of veg options and the staff was really nice. It came out to $15 plus tip but it definitely didn’t taste like a $17 vegetarian lunch. I’d say it was ok tasting but definitely not great. I probably won’t try it again. Way overpriced, even for Bend. They also ask for gratuity which is awkward.
$15 burrito was dinky and packed full of rice with very little protein or much else. I want to go out and support local food spots, but am always quite disappointed on what you get vs what you pay Will continue to make dank food at home, with all the goods, at a fraction of the cost…
This was the second time I've been to Parrilla's. What makes this place special is the atmosphere. Don't waste your money on the horchata, tastes like 2% with cinnamon. Fish tacos and street tacos with Carne are the fail safe guarantee here. Came back, but not for their "come back sauce". Will make this my weekly restaurant when I move back to Bend.
Very good place for quick Mexican food. We had the classic burrito and the fish tacos. Tacos were a little spicy but very fresh and crispy.
Been going for years. Was a 5 star review. I dunno what to say. Always got the fish burrito with bamboo shoots and peanut sauce, very tasty. Prices have really gone up, dollar PBRs are gone, menu changed, culture seems off, but why? Glad to see the place cleaner though. Fish burrito tasted great still but no bamboo shoots available i guess. Looking around i didn't see any locals that I could tell just tourists. This is not in their control, im just saying the usual experience was off. But really to sum it up, tasty food, but for the price there are other local places worth exploring. To put it another way, I used to drive from Redmond for this but now I'm thinking twice...of other options.
Excellent! First real spice since we hit Oregon. I had the Jumbalaya and it had a great kick to it. Everyone in my party was happy with their choices. Husband highly recommend the fajita wrap. My kids each had the Fettuccine wrap, one with chicken and one vegetarian. Both enjoyed theirs. Also, we didn’t have to argue over the type of food. They have choices for everyone. Great stop.
The food is still really good with quality ingredients. However, I stopped going for a while when they changed it so you can’t go down the line and pick your salsa, or have other options, ask questions and watch them make it. It was fun to watch them make it and now something is lost as you wait for them to deliver the burrito you ordered and walked away. I thought it was just a pandemic change but looks like it’s permanent. The employees were more fun and the overall vibe was better before. All well, the food is still great quality though and the price is fair for it.
