Popular place so be prepared to put your name down and walk around until you get a text. Interesting fusion of Mexican and Spanish food with both tacos and paealla or however you spell it. The mezcal pineapple cocktail was delicious and topped with boozy pineapple. The guacamole corn taco could have used more kick to it but not bad as a veggie option. Would come again but I've also had better.
Amazing food! We really enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks and service. We had a the Cuban sliders, lamb sausage dish and the chicken schwarma. We also tried three cocktails and we're impressed with all three. All out plates were almost empty and if they weren't closing so soon we would have had more!
This spot was amazing. First off, the pineapple mezcal margarita is a must. We had a four dishes between two of us, and it was a perfect amount. I’m normally not a paella person, but we got the veg paella and loved it! The small size was still pretty generous. The fried cauliflower may have been my favorite—didn’t even manage to snap a pic of it because we quickly devoured it. It was a bit of a wait to get in on a Thursday night, but they text you when your table is ready, so you can easily go grab a beer at a spot nearby! Can’t wait to get back here.
Amazing Paella!! This place was fantastic. The service was okay but the food more than made up for it. I had the roasted broccolini that was on special and it was so good. The combination of flavors with the house made aioli and salsa was so good. The combination of the plantain chips made for a great dish. My main was their seafood paella. I was craving a good dish of paella and there’s did not disappoint. I enjoyed this dish a lot. There was superb flavor and texture. The fish was cooked to perfection. This place was super easy to get to and thankfully they let me grab a table 5 minutes before closing. Next time I am in Bend I will be back.
Worth driving to bend to eat here. Okay, I'd first off say im not a fan of latin foods. I wasn't excited to come here but our party had a individual with celiac and this was our only option. The saff was super friendly and professional. My mask broke and he provided me with a new kn95 one. The setting for the place is cute and the music selection was older songs with some reggae and ska. Ordered Paella and a bunch of other things. The ingredients were fresh and succulent. The salmon were thick cut ~1in and not those tiny filets and cooked to perfection with an amazing sear. The rock fish was even better. The paella reminded me of the ones in Spain. The flavors were authentic and just enough crisp with out getting stuck in your teeth. I normally don't like calamari but theirs was so soft and tender. Their cauliflower bowl was super good and the sweetness was just right. I had an issue with one of my dishes and the saff handled it very well. Their homemade sodas were refreshing and I think they were great. I would say that they are most definitely not on the sweeter side. Everyone on my table said it was bitter. I personally wouldn't change it but maybe let the customers know or have an option for added sweetness. Overall, bravo! In my opinion, of the best latin restaurants in the state of Oregon and the prices were great. If I was not 100 miles away I'd be eating here weekly. All I know is everytime im in bend, ill be coming here. Or ill be coming to bend just to eat here. Finally, the bathroom door has a foot opener so the staff dont touch the door after washing their hands +1.
"The food was amazing and they were super friendly phenomenal " - - - That was from my 10 year old daughter who insisted on leaving a 5 star review for the wonderful food and service that we received tonight. Brennan was our server and they were superb! Highly recommend!!
First day visiting Bend and we chose Barrio for lunch. We started with a couple ordered and Guacamole and salsa. I ate way too much of it. I ordered the seafood and fish paella to share with the group and it was delicious. I’m usually not too big on saffron rice, but this is one was goooood. I also ordered a burger and Patatas Bravas for myself which was real good too. Patatas bravas could use a little extra sauce, but I requested some and it was perfect. My wife had the nachos with a side of patatas bravas. She enjoyed both.
5 friends visiting from out of town, this place exceeded our expectations. We got a table much quicker than estimated. We ordered a large paella & 4 mezze tapas. Everything was so amazing. The beets tahina was a favorite. Mixed paella was excellently spiced. Food & drinks came out fast. Thank you!!
Their house paella was amazing. The portion sizes are on point as well. Very busy, even given the pandemic, so expect a wait. Overall very friendly staff, amazing food and ambience. Would highly recommend. Not as busy during lunch hours but we still had to wait a little for a table.
Absolutely one of the best Happy Hours in Downtown Bend! The Paella is scrumptious and quite sizable for the Happy Hour $12 price. Service was excellent. Bartenders were chatty and made delicious margaritas. We will go back! This is now one of our top favorites.
