I have a love-hate relationship with Park Nicollet. I've been with them for years. At times, they've been great, but recently, I've been experiencing some of the worst cases of medical gaslighting I've ever experienced. For example, my back experienced some bad pain the end of July and I went to Park Nicollet for the pain. At the first visit, they prescribed some steroids and said I should feel a lot better in about a week. After a couple weeks, the pain didn't get better and I went back to be seen. They took at X-Ray and didn't find anything significant and sent me home. They just told me to use ice/heat packs and ibuprofen for the pain. A few weeks later, the pain was not going away, so I had phone call appointment with a doctor to explain my situation. During the phone call, I asked if I could get an MRI for my back because I knew this pain wasn't normal back pain for me and was just not going away. The doctor refused and said that I need to complete 6 weeks of physical therapy before she would even consider an MRI. At this point, I was just heartbroken and didn't know what to do because I was in too much pain to even do physical therapy. I decided to get a second opinion from an entirely different orthopedic clinic. It was the best decision of my life. They ordered an MRI and after I went it to discuss the results, they understood why I was in so much pain. The MRI showed a severe herniated disc in my lower back and the disc was pushing into a nerve affecting my left leg. It was so bad, that they didn't think injections wouldn't do much good and ordered surgery for my back. They also put me on pain medication which was a life saver for me because the pain was so bad at that point that it was hard to even walk and move around. To everyone out there, don't be afraid to go to another clinic for a second opinion if your current clinic doesn't take your issues seriously. It's the best decision I ever made.
I literally gave the receptionist my insurance I have tricare idk what she thought I was giving her when I gave her my DOB, SSN, letter of proof of insurance and my DoD number. All I know is she said “my insurance is good” but she actually never put my insurance in. So $500 bill later for me to find out she never even attempted to put my insurance in. PLUS, being charged for seeing 2 doctors I saw one and the ONE doctor I saw being so disinterested in being in the room with me. So should I take any pain medication? “Yeah sure whatever you want” Okay how much? What do I take? “You can take tylenol, or advil, or ibuprofen. Whatever the bottle says” Okay, I take SSRI’s? Is there any drug interaction? “Nope nope” Just so everyone knows. There is taking SSRI w specific active ingredients in other NSAIDs can cause blot clots. Literally never going here again. Btw they still haven’t charged my insurance
Great experience nurses and doctors are very helpful explaining how to take care of my skin
Staff is great! Friendly and helpful Nurses and Drs excellent demeanor. Friendly and willing to answer all questions.
We love this location! The staff are kind and caring. This is the only petiatric urgent care we will take our child to!
Wonderful staff and doctors. Great people. ... Unfortunately the administrative systems and call lines used by Park Nicollet are so bad that it cost us significant financial and time loss along with great frustration. We were regularly being sent from building to building, wrong doctors orders, and dealing with lost patient data! The scheduling and data infrastructure was so poor we finally had to abandon these great doctors for Fairview instead.
I think Dr Zellars that I saw and Dr Ramerz, my husband saw was very thorough & informative.
Good place for play games at the time when you try to make an appointments in advance and they changed over and over.
Nice clean location. Lots of parking. Easy to get in and out of and easy to find. I have always run into nice polite staff working here. There is a lab on site that has results super fast for blood tests. It can be a little confusing as to which floor to go to to check in but they are very helpful to make sure that you get to where you need to be.
My son attends Park Nicollet for about three different issues. Each time I visited the facility, the experience has been less than pleasant. The receptionists are rude and nasty; especially the Russian girl with the bad makeup job. It seems like they pick and choose who to be nasty to. The darker you are, the ruder they are to you. While waiting on an inhaler in the waiting room, the nurse that came over to talk to us was just RUDE and NASTY. As a CPA and someone with 2 Master's degrees, I have learned that when a business treats you poorly, it is best to take your business some place else, which I intend to do without hesitation. Advice: try hiring a diverse staff to represent the customers that help pay your bills. The entire front desk needs customer service training. Because of these people's behavior I am completely turned off from Park Nicollet/Health Partners.
