Pacific Laser Eye Centre

My husband was a patient with Pacific laser eye Centre and they were phenomenal! We traveled to Vancouver from California to have SLP surgery and cross-linking done with Dr. Lin and my husband’s eyes are healing and doing great after the procedure, it has really started to make a change for him with his vision better. Tiffany was very helpful with all our paperwork and communication relations. We were also missing one medicine for his eyes when we got to Vancouver and Tiffany helped us get the prescription we needed. She responded in fast timely matters and all our emails were very informative and detailed were we had no problems. I truly appreciate her, Dr. Lin and their team for helping us through the process and helping my husband have a better life with his eyesight after the eye surgery.

I got the SLP procedure done with Dr. Lin in May 2022 and it was an amazing experience. I had an extremely high prescription -10.50 for my right eye, -10.00 for my left eye and I came right out of the procedure with -0.5! My vision was already better right after the procedure than it had been with contacts. They were very realistic of what was achievable with my prescription and what the healing time would be. The pre & post-op care and instructions were thorough and I felt like I was really cared for at the clinic. All the staff in the clinic took the time to answer any questions I had before and after the procedure. There are a lot of drops to apply post-op but they provide a great package of instructions for post-op care. For the procedure itself, it took around 40 seconds per eye as my prescription was high. There was a burning smell and a buzzing sound when the laser was active but Dr. Lin was attentive and calmed my nerves when I was feeling anxious as he explained each step he was doing. The procedure was painless and the only days post-op that were the most difficult in terms of discomfort was day 2-3. I did have to take Advil and Tylenol extra strength to help with inflammation and pain, however the rest of the days were manageable. My post-op care is managed together by Pacific Laser Eye Center and my optometrist. My optometrist wanted me to restart one of the prescription eye drops as my healing time is slower with my high prescription, and Pacific Laser Eye Center actually followed up with me to make sure that I was set up with the instructions for the eye drop schedule. This procedure is honestly life-changing and I have been recommending this to all my friends! Thank you Dr. Lin and the wonderful staff at Pacific Laser Eye Center for giving me a new set of eyes!

After many years of waffling back and forth on whether or not to get laser eye surgery, I finally decided to take the plunge with Dr. Lin at Pacific Laser Eye Centre in 2019. I had done a number of free consultations at the other highly rated laser eye centres in the Greater Vancouver Area, but I ended up choosing here because you were able to meet the actual surgeon Dr. Lin doing your surgery before the big day. I also felt the centre was organized, well established, and professional; it seemed like a medical office and not a sales office like some other places felt. While I didn't feel like Dr. Lin had wonderful bedside manner, I reminded myself he is an expert at laser eye surgery, not at being your friend. I had a very strong prescription before surgery, as well as dry eyes, and as a result of the surgery, I have 20/20 vision. It still baffles me to this day that I can wake up and just SEE! I would highly recommend Dr. Lin to anyone considering laser eye surgery!

I did my SLP laser eye surgery here with Dr. Lin about a year ago 5/20/21 and just finished my last post-up check up recently. I went from -6.50 on both eyes to 20/20 and 20/25 for both eyes! The surgery was seriously life changing and I cannot imagine going back to wearing contact lenses again. I didn't have any complications or dry eyes or anything after the first month of recovery. The recovery period was really difficult esp the 2nd and 3rd day but once I got through that, everything went well. Dr. Lin is super friendly and very professional - I've heard this is the best place to get laser eye surgery and I was not disappointed. I've been recommending this to all my friends who currently wear glasses/contacts.

I am 1 year post SmartSurfACE Laser procedure SLP with Dr. Holland at the Pacific Laser Eye Centre and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Holland did an excellent job with the surgery and my vision ended up stabilizing at 20/20 which is an incredible improvement. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Holland. He was incredibly skilled and put me at ease throughout the entire process. The rest of the staff at the clinic were also top-notch, and the booking experience was smooth as can be. Tiffany was a huge help, getting me in for the surgery much more quickly than I anticipated. She was always very friendly and answered any questions I had about the procedure and the post-surgery process. Overall, I would highly recommend the Pacific Laser Eye Centre for anyone considering laser eye surgery. The staff is professional, caring, and skilled, and the results have been life-changing for me. Thank you so much for giving me back my vision!

I had a PRK surgery + punctual plugs 3 years ago. I wasn't working at that time so I tried to follow post op instructions well and tried not to use a cell phone/computer. My vision is almost perfect but I have Extreme dry eyes. I always had dry eyes but it became so much worse... I've spent so much money on eye drops. After my work, my eyes are so tired. I can't do anything. At night, eyes become blurry and I just want to sleep from exhausting dry eyes. I don't regret having the surgery but I don't recommend eye surgeries to my family/friends.

Had PRK done here last week. I just got my contact bandages off today. This place is run so efficiently and with amazing care from the people who work here. Everyone is on point and organized, making it a seamless experience despite the discomfort. They walked me through everything and even organized my medications for me. Everyone was so nice. Definitely recommended, even though it’s a trek to get here and costs a little more than other laser eye centres - I’d pick pacific eye again. 100%

Posting this review as an update to my previous one from June which upon reflection it was harsh on my part. I have had a great experience with Dr Lin and his team. They are thorough at what they do which I really appreciated. I had the opportunity to talk to Dr Lin in person to chat about my situation since I have a strong prescription and high astigmatism. No other clinic in lower mainland that I consulted with offered the opportunity to chat with the surgeon before making a decision. Overall the procedure was very quick and comfortable for most part, PLEC took great care of me. I would definitely recommend PLEC over other options and I have looked at every detail while comparing my options. They provided me with very detailed information in care package see images, which was well organised and easy to follow. In terms of recovery days 3-4 was very challenging but after that it gets better. I’m at day 6 now and it’s slowly getting better

Got the Smart Surf laser procedure completed by Dr Holland about 1 month ago. The Dr Holland and the staff made everything so easy. I was worried about different parts of the aftercare and healing and I didn’t feel alone or underprepared. I’ve kept in contact with the clinic throughout my healing and they have been very attentive and helpful.

I owe this place everything. The service was so immaculate, I still dream of moving to Vancouver just to experience medical attention like this again. From the consultation to the beautifully recorded audio they play before surgery to the aftercare and attention, I felt so lucky and blessed to have used this clinic. I flew in from South East US and have 0 regrets. I would do it all over again if I had to. Thank you Dr. Lin and Winnie for holding my hand through a scary but easy procedure. Winnie is really amazing. Professional and kind all throughout. I thank PLEC with my whole heart every day. And so does my family. If I had to put a business in my will, it'd be this one.
