Orzo Restaurant

We were able to walk in to this restaurant at about 6pm without a reservation and get a seat (it was off season, so that might not always be the case). The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, a very nice place to have a good meal. The servers were very friendly and efficient - our food came quickly. The food was very good, although there weren't a lot of vegetarian options, however the gnocchi that I had was delicious. For dessert we had a chocolate shooter glass filled with ice wine which was the perfect way to end the meal.

Quite average. The chicken souvlaki came with just fries and a side of tzaziki. Even Jimmy the Greek has a more substantial souvlaki. Menu quite limited.

The great: the location - fancy wood tables and lovely decor, the open terrace front is great for fresh air. The good: the food - the PEI mussels are a must as a starter, with a wine and garlic based sauce so good we ordered more bread to finish it. The orzo is the signature pasta and available with many mains. I had the lamb as an entree which was well seasoned and tender. Tried someone else's mushroom risotto and it was splendid. The service - attentive and friendly staff. Any minor inconvenience was dealt with quickly. Could be improved: the wine list - only ten options is not great. Speed - although it was weekend evening, the food was slow to the table. Overall dining time was close to 2:15hrs

We often fine from entry level food to the premium level food in Toronto, New York Miami, Vegas etc. My friend can almost eat anything but understands good food and walked away from this meal. I feel like there was no attempt to make their food impressive, almost like they have no idea how to cook. There is way too much free information out there to enable to make food 10 times better than this. I'm sure the owner has a passion for culinary but if they are going to invest a lot of money to give the restaurant industry a go then they need to re vamp their ability so the customers don't feel like they are being robbed. Trust me I want them to be successful and wish the best but they better get on top of it and stop taking advantage of a 4 top dropping $200 bucks for dinner.
