My husband and I stayed at the Shaw Club for a few nights and had breakfast twice at Zees Restaurant. It is so cozy, I love the heated patio and the waiters were very helpful and friendly! The breakfast was DELICIOUS! I had the traditional one morning and an omelette the next. They have the best breakfast sausage hands down. We will have to come here for dinner next time. Highly recommend even if you aren’t staying at the hotel, the restaurant is worth it on its own!
We went here pre-theatre and had a good meal. Not outstanding but still very good. My husband had the halibut and I had 2 appetizers shrimp and tuna and desserts. The PB tart was delicious. We went at 5:30 just before an 8pm show. We had PLENTY of time before our show started. Sat on a lovely terrace with a wonderful waitress. Yummy cocktails. Make sure to try the Northern Lights martini!
We had an excellent dinner. Service was perfect and the food divine! Appetizers were scallops and the crispy pork belly. Mains: duck confit and surf &turf. Best duck confit I've ever had. Hubby was similarly pleased with his Surf and Turf. Desert for him was the milk chocolate salted caramel tart and creme brule for me. Definitely recommend eating here! Also, gold star for social distancing here!! Was the first eatery in Niagara-on-the-lake I could actually relax in!!
I liked to relax on the terrace of this restaurant and enjoy the peaceful evening and evening breeze. I came for the food but enjoyed the atmosphere. The food is quite traditional and has a beautiful presentation. We were impressed with smoked salmon, and my wife enjoyed fish. Pork chops is a signature dish here. A noticed a few picked duck and. It looked good as well. This is a recommended place by all my friends. Enjoy.
This place is spectacular. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy, calming and beautiful, the area is in a prime spot and the service was outstanding. I can't recommend Zee's Gril enough. Cajun basa spicy, moist, perfectly cooked & everything on the plate was delish and the 92 Picton turkey sandwich succulent, tasty, perfectly cooked, buns were amazing and the fresh fries were mouth-watering!. We will be back to Zee's Grill very soon! Very well done Zee's Grill.
A superb light dinner for two. I will open by saying we don’t normally eat a lot. Three shared appetizers were more than sufficient. We were across the road at The Shaw for a three act matinee. As we were early we had a great table on the veranda looking out onto Queen St. The Green salad was fresh with no wilted greens an a nice light vinaigrette dressing. The cheese board had a lovely selection of regional cheeses with crostini and fresh fruit. Our server Sean suggested the Ahi Tuna hands down. A perfect choice with watermelon radish and avocado topped with a very mild wasabi Mayo. We will be back!
We celebrated our anniversary here recently. Food was excellently seasoned, spiced, prepared to perfection. We ordered the duck confit, which was beautifully made. The pork chop though was better, as the entire dish had a certain combination of flavour that complimented each other really well, esp the potatoes. Would eat here again.
The restaurant is located inside the Shaw Club hotel, although we were guests at a sister hotel. Our server, Sean, was excellent. Super personable, very knowledgeable, and was able to juggle all of the guests with ease. We were seated on the enclosed porch. It seemed to strike an interesting balance between rustic and high-end. The food however was definitely fine dining and it was excellent. We had the spicy tomato soup and crispy shrimp for our apps. My wife had the chicken and I had the beef tenderloin which was the best piece of meat I've had in a long time. Dessert was also excellent. My wife had the chocolate peanut butter tart and I had pumpkin pie which was a special. The prices aren't cheap, but I think you definitely get what you pay for. Would visit again next time we're in town.
Had dinner reservations at this lovely spot in Niagara On The Lake and decided to come by early to check it out. Went into the reception area at the restaurant and decided to confirm our reservation and was greeted by the host, Nic. He was very warm and welcoming and allowed us to pre choose our table for dinner. We then decided to stop for a quick cocktail at the bar. We were greeted and taken care of by an amazing young man, named Mark. Someone from the back kitchen came out to bring him a lovely plate of food during his shift. We had just been speaking to him about possibly ordering an appetizer, but was told that the kitchen would be closed until dinner. He offered his plate of food that had been prepared for him and insisted that we take it and enjoy it for ourselves. We were very shocked and pleasantly surprised at this lovely gesture and incredible hospitality. Thank you so much Mark!
The chef mixes innovative flavors and it works! Highly recommend the halibut. Try the Frogpond organic dry riesling. It's special. The service was also quite pleasant. All around lovely experience.
