A very cozy not too loud English vibe restaurant. Seating is available at the bar, booth or table.nExcellent choice of fishes. Very tasty with just the right amount of batter. Fries are so good!nMy only concern was that my friend wanted to opt for a salad instead of the fries but we were still charged for the fries and the full price of the salad. I specifically asked the server if we could substitute the chips for the salad but were told that we would still have to pay for the chips. I just wish we would not have been charged for something we did not get. Otherwise the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the apple crumble with ice cream on the side and it was the perfect way to end our meal.
Went there for lunch. Place was very busy so we sat at the counter. Had chowder, hallibut with chips and key lime pie. Chowder was very good with plenty of pieces of seafood. Fish & chips was good as well, not crispy but not greasy. Key lime pie was very good. Ended up about $45 I believe.
Been coming here for years, always a great experience. Had a family birthday dinner here recently - after not having visited for about 7~8 years - and was pleased to find Olde Yorke is maintaining their high standards.nnWe were a multi-generational group consisting of my wife and I, our young son, and an elderly aunt, and all of us felt welcome and well served. The food was as good as I remembered, the halibut and chips I had craved all week did not disappoint.
Well the hype is real, i know about fish and chips for a long time but have never actually tried once, and i love the fish here! The haddock is perfectly fried, the thickness of batter is perfect, super crispy outside yet tender and juicy inside, plus the fries are good, the chowder is quite good, the house draft is light and refreshing, and the atmosphere is just so good. Definitely will keep coming back
I had the pleasure of trying this fish and chips establishment for the first time. I had heard about it from a dear friend. I was intrigued to give it a try. The service was impeccable. We chose to dine on a Monday evening, which was quite peaceful. I found it delightful that we could converse without the interruption of loud music. I ordered the Cod and Greek salad. It was truly delicious, with an abundance of batter and the tender, crisp cod. My husband had the pleasure of having haddock and chips. The chips were the most delightful part for me. The portions were quite generous and the prices were quite reasonable. The total cost was $18.25 each, and the option to upgrade your salad was $3.75.
