Olde Yorke Fish & Chips

Absolutely loved this spot! The fish was perfectly crispy, not oily at all, and tasted super fresh, cooked just right. The clam chowder was incredibly rich and flavourful, truly a standout dish. Portion sizes were generous but not too much, which made the whole meal feel just right. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, and the staff were genuinely kind and personable, which really added to the whole experience. Definitely a place I’d come back to for comforting, quality food done right!

This really feels like one of the few authentic fish and chips spots in Toronto. The freshly fried fish was absolutely top-notch — super crispy and full of flavor. I ordered mine with a salad instead of fries, and personally, I found it much lighter and even more enjoyable that way. The crispiness was seriously next level!

Came here with my family, absolutely love the food here.nI recommend the Halibut, it is really delicious and I love the Cod and haddock as well.nnThe quality has been consistent for2 decades and is the best fish and chips in Toronto by far.nnThe take out is fast and always has great service.nnThe environment when you dine in feels intimate, cozy and always has 10/10 service.nThe decor and lighting is nice as well and the bar has a great feel to it.

Came here for lunch and the staff were friendly and attentive. Older establishment based on the decor that gives a warm, homey vibe. Ordered haddock and cod. The fish was cooked to perfection, draped in golden brown, crunchy batter in a good portion size. Fries were classic cut and the coleslaw was creamy crunchy. This is a can’t go wrong fish and chips restaurant, one of the best in the city.

We went there a week ago.nnNot surprisingly, the fish and chips are the same, and this is our first visit after the pandemic.nnThe calamari is extremely good.nnThe fish—whatever types—are still excellent.nnMost importantly, the batter is very crispy and should be deep-fried in fresh oil.nnThe clam chowder is a relatively small portion.nnAs for the beers, they are good, though.nnI hope we will visit again once we are back in Toronto.
