Story

As one of Canada's foremost wine country destinations, Quails' Gate is internationally and nationally recognized as one of the country's top agri-tourism destinations. The Quails' Gate winery experience is highly regarded and recommended as a must see in the Okanagan Valley.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff provide visitors with a fine, sophisticated and educational wine and food experience that is constantly recognized as one of the best in the region.
Our menu is inspired by regional Okanagan and West Coast ingredients prepared in the classical tradition. By partnering with local growers and artisanal producers we are able to create food that reflects our region and ideally pairs with our Quails' Gate wine. Our philosophy is to use fresh seasonal ingredients that support our valley and help preserve agriculture.

I've been here a couple of times in the past and it's always been fabulous however I went there most recently for my birthday and my boyfriend got food toxicity from the meal. We had eaten the same thing throughout the entire day expect for the main meal where he ordered the pork. We each had one glass of wine. Later on that evening he woke up feeling sick and starting violently throwing up (and much more). He even fainted, hit the bathroom wall on the way down and woke up on the floor. At this point I woke up because of the loud thump and realized what had happened. I would have taken him to the ER however one of our friends that was visiting at the time was a doctor and immediately diagnosed him with food toxicity. The next day he called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and was promised a call back within a day or two. I also called the following day to let them know just how awful the experience was at home since he didn't let them know about fainting and hurting himself. It's now been over a month and the restaurant has neglected to call back. I do love the restaurant, it's just an awful shame that this wasn't addressed at all and I feel quite let down.

We had an amazing evening at Old Vines Restaurant. The food, wine and service was superior! The setting is heavenly - my favourite place to go when in Kelowna. We and our guests are grateful to the manager, Casey Sorochan, who arranged our special evening. See you next time!

Excellent quality food in a beautiful spot. The duck was exquisite. Service was also excellent and the Pinot Noir was lovely, if a touch expensive. Only one complaint.... Change the crappy piano music!
