Story

Located in a beautifully designed contemporary restaurant with a long, marble-topped bar, West Coast Grill & Oyster Bar is the Okanagan's premier seafood house. Oversized windows bring in the Okanagan sunshine and the seaside colour set the tone for the seafood-centric menu. The menu offers an extensive selection of fresh and sustainable coastal seafoods including oysters, mussels, drab, prawns and sushi, and a variety of salads, flatbreads, hamburgers and steaks for those that are looking for something other than seafood. There is an extensive list of Okanagan wines, cocktails and beers that compliment the menu.
West Coast Grill & Oyster Bar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a daily Happy Hour from 3 - 6 pm.

Atmosphere was nice, food was excellent with great taste and presentation but the service was abysmal. It took over 20 minutes for our appetizers which were calamari and spicy cheese dip (both very quick prep), but the mains were over 50 minutes, it was clear the waitress forgot to fire them. For our table of 4 it took just shy of 2 hours for service in a very slow restaurant (only 2 other tables and 2 waitresses). The rating is on service as the culinary team prepared a good meal.

Been wanting to check out West Coast Grill & Oyster Bar, unfortunately I think this was one of those times where excitement & expectations played a roll into disappointment. The restaurant in itself is beautiful inside, almost reminds me of cute Italian restaurant my dad had once taken me to in Vancouver. A posh atmosphere at night & an appreciable relaxing quality in the morning. I think we had the worst seat in the house, my husband kept getting bonked & hit. Frustrating for him, entertaining for me. I'm not the expert in escargot, that's my husbands department but let's just say he's had better. My salad was tasty. A lengthy wait time on our main course for the stuffed chicken & vegetarian pasta. Again, he was less than impressed, I thought it was "tasty" but the half bottle Riesling may have had something to do with that. For breakfast, I understood what he meant when he said he's had better. I had the eggs benny & I would not order it again. Staff was friendly & in all good customer service.

I went here for the first time last night and it's amazing. The staff are attentive, and the food is amazing. Great ambiance. We went for Happy Hour, will definitely be back...probably this week!

It was really good. I'd recommend this place and go back again the next time I'm in Kelowna. Fish taco was great. Clam chowder was a little bland. Crab mac n cheese was slightly disappointing but pretty tasty. Salmon flatbread was delicious! Parking was a bit of a pain, but they refund you so it's all good. Service was exceptional. All in all a very nice restaurant to visit for nice dinner.

Just ate and drank for happy hour with 9 girlfriends fabulous service from Douglas!! And executive chef offered birthday shooters.. would be back in a minute!! Highly highly recommend this delightful spot. Forgot to say Douglas is very handsome too lol oh food is excellent recommend the sea food tower. ( how Douglas didn't get frazzled with us I have no idea!!
