Wasn’t impressed at all. The menu got me excited, but it was just on the paper nice. In real life overpriced and didn’t taste good. I had the worst poke bowl in my life. Not cheap at all, but I barely had tuna in it. Lots of carrots, mayonnaise and rice. What kind of poke bowl is that? The service was mediocre. Not coming back Rip off and . I don’t need to pay $23 per bowl full of carrots.
What a great experience I had at nomads. I went here for my birthday last night and it was just amazing. The food was great, the service was so wonderful. For sure a place I will recommend to many of my friends. Thank you loved it very much.
If we came to drink and have a snack then my rating would be higher. We came for a nice meal but it was overpriced and too ambitious. Concept is neat and tries hard to represent different cuisines but doesn't quite get there. Kalbi had an overwhelming vinegar flavour. Fried rice was ok and so were the tacos. Friend couldn't eat the pad Thai as the ginger was too strong. Another friend didn't like the cubano. Seemed like it was hit and miss. Good thing there are plenty other places in the GTA to find more authentic versions of the dishes.
Went to Nomad’s as apart of my husbands birthday weekend. I wanna start off by saying the service was amazing and the servers and bartenders are awesome! Food was okay? It was kind of blah hearing from the rest of my family. The Yuca fries were undercooked/boiled as they were hard and dry. I did like the guacamole and Pad Thai though! And they killed it with my Mule! Overall no shade but we were expecting the food to be a bit better.
Great restaurant! I got the jerk chicken drummies shown in the pic. Tasted very good! Although it was not spicy, and had a bit of mango flavor. Only comes with the 6 drumsticks though, nothing else. The shrimp with fried rice is also amazing! Some of the best tasting perfectly grilled shrimp I've ever had!! This location has a sidewalk patio.
Very polite staff, easy to get along with and attentive. I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint, from the food, variety of drinks and the good service they provide. They do Karaoke Sunday's and despite not singing it’s nice seeing how involved people get and how friendly the atmosphere is. The staff are on a differently level here, I have never had a bad experience with anyone. My drinks always show up at a good time, and I love the suggestions they provide when I ask to try something new !
My wife and I went to Nomad Restobar this weekend and found it to be...meh The pics online and past reviews got us excited to try this spot in Port Credit. Here's the skinny: - ordered the big mac slidders and cauliflower pakora as several menu items were not available. Both were tasty but little pricey - beer hit the spot - our server was friendly but gave my wife the wrong drink twice. I understand sometimes when things can be very busy but it wasn't - the washrooms were rough. Tons of flies and didn't seem clean Based on this I wouldn't return but hope if you go, you have better luck. Cheers
This place is a must visit! Their staff are super welcoming and friendly, majority of their food items are extremely tasty, and they have a variety to choose from between cocktails and wine for drinks. Everything I've tried there is excellent! Highly recommended place to go with a few friends or date night. Very nice ambience! They also have a weekly game night.
Waited almost 30minutes only to receive cold food & it was horrible. Worst kalbi short ribs i’ve ever had, TOO much salt from the vinegar they pour over it. Started hurting my stomach after a bit.
I really wanted to like this place as I often frequent the Port Credit area. My friend and I went on a Tuesday evening so it was not busy at all. Most patrons were seated inside and we were the only ones seated inside. As we both weren’t terribly hungry we decided to get the guacamole and the chicken bao buns. When the guacamole came out we both thought that we were being punked. The portion size and its price does not match at all. I swear they used ONE avocado and called it a day. We could’ve bought a bunch from a local grocery for the price that it is on the menu. The bao buns were surprisingly delicious. Most western places add something like baos to their menus to flair it up a bit. However in many cases it doesn’t deliver. This isn’t true at Nomads. I would go back again for the baos. The chicken was crispy, the baos were soft, and it was perfectly seasoned with their sauce. I would say the saving grace for this place was the customer service we received. Not from our server directly but the darker skinned gentleman who was around all night. He was lively/entertaining, and very attentive by always checking up on our table waters, alcohol, etc. I’d give this place a try again despite my experience during my first visit.
