I had the fries and mozzarella sticks and they were AMAZING! I was not expecting the fries to be so good. The mozzarella sticks had a generous it's thick amount of cheese in it. I saw another person order a dish that was really cool that had flames coming out. I heard coming early is best to beat the crowd. Everyone there felt like family, it was a great warm feeling. Hard to find these in Chicago. I recommend this place to everyone.

Great neighborhood gem. Good service and friendly bartenders even when it's crowded. Spacious with plenty of searing, darts, piano, but overall really chill vibes. Bathrooms are very tiny but clean.

NOT a dive! The Oakwood is an industry worker's godsend from the rapidly and ever earlier closing doors of Chicago bars and restaurants. If you visit take note that the crowd there are the same people that serve you on your night out and revel in the diversity and fun around you. Tip again by buying the person next to you a well deserved drink!

Great bar, very kind people. It's quite empty before midnight but they offer really good food one of the best Greek salads I've ever had and you have so much space for yourself. After midnight, it's always a good option since they close at 4 am

Best dive bar in the north side of Chicago! Not to mention it’s open until 4am. Stumbled into good bar food. The place feels safe and clean. May make this my new hangout!

I don't think the locals were happy me and my loud friends had invaded but the ambiance was so great we had to stay anyway.

Always a story at oakwood. Always a good time. Tons of industry crowd. Take casadores with Victor, Tully or patron with Danielle, and whatever Katie is feeling for the night. Enjoy it, they're awesome. If there's metal on, change it for the bartender's sanity... Also, anyone else who doesn't like metal. ;
