No thanks to National Car Rental for risking my family and my life in an unsafe vehicle. The car I received was unsafe to drive for our trip to Dawson creek and back. my nieces boyfriend is a mechanic said it felt like a problem the sway bar, aliment or bearing. We had speed limits of 100 to 120km and the car would shift, sway or bounce over when driving over a small bump or if a truck would drive by. Was very stressful and my whole family did not feel safe. I tried to see if I could switch cars in Dawson Creek, but the agent said they said they were sold out and they couldn't switch cause of the  corporate or franchise differences and suggested I call Fort St. John. I called Fort St. Johns left messages for two location about the unsafe car and no one called me back. When complaining to the Manger Roy at the North Vancouver location to drop off the vehicle he argued with me saying you would be able to switch it and asked if I filled up the gas. No empathy, very rude and argumentative. He got into the vehicle and peeled off to test it. I called later to see if he found out what the problem was and he said nothing is wrong with it. So he didn't even bother calling a mechanic to inspect it or even an apology for the horrible experience. I'm not looking for a refund. All I want is no one not rented that vehicle until its taken in for a full inspection and Roy should step down from management.

This was the worst experience with a rental company that I have ever had. We booked a car and when we showed up to get it, they wouldn't accept any of our cards, even though they were all Visa and MasterCard, because they had the word DEBIT on them. They then charged my only credit card in 2 separate transactions for the rental, plus an additional 300 deposit. My card declined the second charge which was for the deposit because we are from the state's and I hadn't put a travel notice on the card. At this point, we decided to go elsewhere. We easily rented a car one block over with the same credit cards that they refused to accept. Problem is, now 2 weeks later, the charges are still on my card and we never even rented from them. They are claiming they don't show a hold or a charge, but it is clearly on my card. Do not rent from these people!!! They have offered no help in clearing the situation and they were very rude the day of. There are plenty of other rentals in the city.

In and out no problem. Credit card coverage saved the extra insurance. Car was clean and ran perfect.

We've been ranting cars at this location few times now and it has been only positive experience! Great guys working there, they would make sure you get appropriate vehicle for your needs. Next time we renting a car it will be this location of National Car Renatal no doubts about that. Don't forget If your travel includes pay bridges or other make sure you pay yoourself first or you will be paying administrative fees + your toll fare.

Not your typical robotic salesemen here.  Their staff are REAL people, charismatic, friendly and honest.  Had a great experience buying my Elantra here a week ago... I highly recommend you check them out if you are looking for a new car.  It was a painless experience shopping here.  Thank you Bobby!
