Myth Szechuan Cuisine

Almost all the dishes I tried were great value, with portion sizes so generous that one could never dream of seeing in NYC. The standouts were , Rattan Pepper Fish, Shredded Pork with Vegetables and . I probably wouldn’t order tiny dish with unremarkable flavor or all thick leaves/stems again, though. We waited around 20 min to be seated on a weekend evening, and service was really slow.

The food was quite overpriced for the portion size that you get, but it’s filling. Most dishes are spicy, so if you’re not a spicy food lover I wouldn’t recommend it. I liked the garlic pea tip leaves non-spicy. Also, make sure to check your receipt before paying! They gave me a 200$ receipt which was 3x the amount we ordered! And it happened twice… thankfully I checked before paying outright.

Good service and relaxing atmosphere here. I went there lunch and dinner for three times. Their fried rice is always fabulous. Other spicy dishes are not excellent but above average. Overall, it is a good place for spicy food and fried rice. Only a small problem is that they put too much sichuan pepper to produce numb-spiciness flavors. It's not very spicy but very numbing.

Like their menu, you can see what your order, very visual! Their interior design is also simple, modern, and spacious. Food is pretty good overall. Presentation definitely needs some improvement as it looks like what my wife cooks at home. Taste is 8/10 as a honest rating by being from Sichuan myself. The server young male, definitely goes above and beyond, nice and warm service, thumb up! Opened the door for us, entry and exit. Can recommend nice dishes, very attentive and polite. Just really top notch service which I certainly did not expect as most restaurants in Richmond have terrible service and expect good tipping at the same time. This young man deserves 20% tips! I have been to this place many times, their services are great with plate exchange services, and their dishes are amazing! Highly recommend their spicy lobster & crab! Very authentic flavour!Food: 5/5

Tldr: A trendy Sicchuan restaurant with above average food, plenty of parking and great service If the review was helpful, please follow and/or like for more! Service: 5/5 Service was pretty good at the location. We went right when they opened for lunch and was seated right away. The staff checked on us regularly to refill the water. When a dish wasn't available, they apologized profusely for it... so attitude was great as well Food: 4/5 Some of the dishes like pork slices with fish sauce were average. But the rabbit, egg corn and mini hotpot were definite highlights that stand out among other Chinese restaurants. COVID: 3/5 The staff were unmasked and some of the plates we got weren't washed thoroughly had leftover food bits on them. These were replaced upon request but concerning nonetheless.

Food is not spicy enough and not much flavour. All the dishes are super oily. Very busy place make sure you have reservation otherwise could wait up to 1 hour . Lot of options on the menu , we asked the waitress to recommend some dishes but she was not helpful.Food: 3/5

I haven’t had better spicy food than this in long time. Caution: food is really really spicy. Their dishes with two pepper signs are probably more than most people can handle. But the ingredients are fresh and full of flavor.
