Tony's Chinese Cuisine is one of the many Chinese food stalls in the Richmond Public Market. Tried their combo with two items and a carb. Big portions as with most of the other stalls here. The pork chops and spicy fish were pretty good typical food stall quality. The pan fried noodles were a bit plain but served their purpose. The order came with some hot and sour soup. Definitely won't walk away hungry from this place.
U need 2 assumptions - Cheap and MSG 2 choices with rice bundle w a soup - Taste so so .. Size - standard w bulky as usual. I ordered beef w veg and well it turned out to be veteran food .. u imaged what I meant. Fortunately, I am not a meat lover .. Try other store next visit
Very very good fried chicken, price was affordable, customer service was good, and it comes with rice! I am definitely coming back in the future.
Deal, 3items on rice $11 comes with choice of daily soup or congee. It’s a bit greasy but taste good overall.
This is a place you go for an economy style lunch or dinner that's quick, and gigantic portion wise which is very good for what you pay for. Service is very good. Taste is like I said.... Economy class food.I
This is a hidden gem! I love the people serving here. They are attentive and kind, surprising for such a busy marketplace. I've eaten here several times and always feel the vibe is better than other places in my experience. The taste of the food is good; not overly salted or spicy, just enough seasoning. They also serve a medley of brown/red/black rice as an option, which is wonderful. It's hard to find food that feels nourishing and nutritious for this value. Some dishes can be more greasy, but we all have different preferences and if you're smart you can pick what feels better for your body. The prices have gone a bit up lately as they have almost everywhere, but I would still recommend this inconspicuous eatery. One combo with three items is perfect for me and my wife to share. Thank you for what you're doing!
Good value for food portions and taste BUT poor customer service. I ordered 4 large dishes for $46 and they up charged me additional $5 for certain dishes. I was surprised and asked about the additional cost. I have no problem paying the differences for better food but the staff's response to me was appalling. I advised that staff member his signs need to be bigger A4 print-out with size 9 font -detailing the charges - all in chinese too. Staff told me, "yeah whatever. The sign is there for you to read". Quite dismissive. Always a big fan of Captain Wa because they want your business - friendly and commmunitive. Take a page from your successful competitor. I will spend my money at Captain Wa.
Decided to give this place a try because the place I usually go to next door was closed today. I paid $16 for a “large” sized container of brisket and daikon. The lady filled up the container with daikon, but only gave me 5 small pieces of brisket and 3 pieces of tendon. Super expensive for a food court take-out place. I feel like I got scammed. I’d get a better value at a eat-in dimsum place! Also the flavour is not there. It clearly hasn’t been braising for very long. I’ll stick to Captain Wa next door.
Food doesn’t taste good
This place has great value. Huge portions for good prices. $10.50 for 3 items! You could have 2 meals for the amount of food they give you. Food was decent but I liked the patience of the serving staff and how generous they are. Especially for such a busy place. People need to have more gratitude than complaints in these low reviews. Will continue to support this place. Especially when you're hungry!
