some of the doctors or nurses have weird attitudes and arent very professional. and not really caring people or friendly they dont pay attention to needs and can careless about youre issues. these people are not professional at all theyre disrespectful and they dont treate you like a client at all and they lie about doing things and act as if youre the one thats wrong they are phychos. some people are nice there but id suggest trying another place where people are actually nice and respectful to clients. this is not the place where everyone is respectful. the workers that work there aren’t professional
North Portland pharmacy DENIED me my high blood pressure medication after it had already been transferred there from Walgreens. I recently got a job and insured with Kaiser and they flat-out said "goto kaiser" my medication was prescribed by Emmanuel emergency not Kaiser, however, they didn't even give me the option to pay. The employees just said flat out "NO." Blood pressure is a very serious condition. I will take this higher. How do you have a patience medication that can keep them well and say "NO?" I believe their mad the pharmacy teambecause I made a complaint about Collens attitude, she speaks over the client and at the same time not very approroacable at all. Well, Tim laughing in a patients ear is very disrespectful too. You all need another pharmacy team these two individuals are very unprofessional.
NOT TRANS FRIENDLY. I was misgendered several times in under a minute by the receptionist, despite correcting them every single time. If that's how the receptionist treats trans folk, I can only omagy how bad the actual care is there regarding hormones and doctors respecting pronouns. Go somewhere else.
Terrible. I have private health insurance and I don't need to go to the county clinic. But this was very close to my house and they accepted Blue Cross insurance. At first I thought this was good. I went to Dr. Yeast and she was a very good provider. Starting late 2020 it all went downhill. I had to get some tests for a pre-surgery authorization in December 2020. The surgical center sent a list of tests that were needed to the North Portland Clinic. They performed a number of tests including an EKG which was normal. However, they did not do all the requested tests and failed to record the result of my EKG. So they requested me to come back in for the EKG and the additional tests that they failed to do the first time. Since they failed to record my EKG result they wanted me to take the same test again. I told them, I'm not paying for this test again. They said they would waive the fee. So I took the test again. This time the technician didn't bother to shave my chest hair and ended up getting a "slightly abonormal result" So they referred me to a cardiologist at Legacy Emmanuel. The EKG at Legacy Emmanuel was totally normal. So this was just extra time and effort just so I could get pre-authorized for surgery. I can't believe a medical office would lose records. I can understand it happening after some years. But this was literally a week later they couldn't find my EKG result. Also just because I took the test a week before, doesn't mean you shouldn't shave the patient before an EKG again. Also this location never answers a phone call and when I send an email, I MIGHT get a response a week later. But it has been as bad as getting a response 2 weeks later. So I don't trust this clinic with my health any longer and will be seeking a new provider.
If you are looking for a good therapist, consider contacting Dr. Ryan Parsons. He listens and gives you good advice. However, the people who run the front desk tend to be really rude and may see you as a threat instead of seeing as just another human being.
I have been go in my here for nearly 3 years now. My toddler son and I have the same PCP, which has been a blessing since I'm still breastfeeding feeding as well as dealing with ongoing medical conditions that I'd be afraid had we had different doctors, medications and resources may have been overlooked. I have never had a terrible experience here as a result of the staff at this location. This is also my pharmacy, though the hours sometimes conflict with my schedule, I am always happy to see familiar faces and feeling comfortable to ask personal and intimate questions regarding my health or medications.
Dr Brooks has always been very helpful and he listens to what your saying about what ever the reason is that your there, very easy to talk to and he makes sure you understand what's going on and the choices you have with treatment of your illness. Very caring and understanding as well as Empathetic with your discomforts.
One of the doctors, Ora Botwinick, blocked the door and refused to let me leave the room when asked. They also omitted information on my post visit summary to make me look like an unruly patient when they were not respecting basic boundaries or human decency. The receptionists are super sweet, the management is sweet too, and I can't speak for other doctors there, but that one specific doctor should not be practicing. I'm waiting on a call back from management to determine if a legal investigation is warranted, but in the mean time I am still searching for a new primary and getting near panic attack inducing flashbacks whenever I enter a doctors office or hospital. This provider isn't trans friendly, isn't disability friendly, and doesn't work with mentally ill patients in addition to them thinking its acceptable to block a door when a patient is trying to leave.
My husbands LIFE was at stake and at the time he was being seen at Good Samaritan hospital. If he wouldn't had given up on Good Samaritan and started going to this St John's Clinic, he would have died. The clinic referred him to all the right specialists and it came about that he had a problem that was rarely seen. And at his very first appointment the Dr. knew what was wrong with him. He came home so utterly happy because he had finally gotten an answer. Of course he had to go through the ropes of seeing specialists. And with my own personal experience there, I've never had a problem with any of the staff, and their professional demeaner is great, and very helpful. Also when I was younger, they caught something on time for me also. I took my now adult children there and I've been going there ever since. Also I've always had their undivided attention whether it be the receptionist-nurses-doctors. I'm grateful that I can go see a descent Doctor when I'm very poor. I'm grateful for the Oregon Health Plan also. Thank you St John's Clinic. Barbara DeFazio
While I've had some issues with a couple staff members, I really enjoyed the doctors I've seen. I prefer going to the Multnomah County Health Clinics because the doctors are much more polite and kind than any I've seen at a private office. I recently had a critical health issue where my ability to walk was severely impaired and I was able to be seen the same day, while other offices wanted to schedule me two weeks out. After some tests, the doctor did not hesitate to refer me to a specialist. Throughout this health issue, I could rely on this clinic to help me wrangle the all-too-often chaotic communication between medical offices. Even after a referral to a specialist, my PCP periodically checked in on me to make sure I was getting adequate care. This clinic definitely helped to support me through a difficult time.
