Mount Fairview Dining Room

We used this restaurant twice while we stayed at the lodge. The atmosphere was rustic and lodge like. It was busy for our supper sitting, the meal was good(buffalo burger and a fish and chip) The service was a little lacking, had a hard time getting a fresh beer. We then went down for breakfast the next morning. You could eat the buffet or order from the menu. We had decided to try the menu, tried elk sausage(not for me) the buffet would have been a much better choice cost wise. Ordering off the menu everything was separate and breakfast was a 60 dollar affair.

Excellent service at the restaurant. Really great wine selection . Food is not cheap. Duck was excellent . My Elk dish was over done and I did not care about the panko crust on the loin (why ?). Overall it was good food and experience. Anyoing was that the staff was cleaning of tables during our main course.

Staff was excellent and very friendly! I ordered a the sirloin steak (medium rare) $40. The steak came out extremely rare and very fatty. There were only 3 edible bites on a 6-8oz sirloin. I was very disappointed, and then the beer I ordered (wild rose brown ale-20 oz draft) was also flat. It's in a convenient location but after my experience I don't recommend. All restaurants in the Fairview offer much better food.

Came here for lunch. Waiter was nice and pleasant. The soup of the day was good. I had the Crisp Duck Leg Confit. It seemed overpriced and largely unenjoyable. Definitely would not recommend it. 7/10

Absolutely phenominal meal!! The elk striplon was well beyond worth it
