Lake Agnes Tea House

A variety of teas to choose from. Nice resting spot after hiking up. The fat chipmunk that hangs out there circling tables for food is good entertainment. Love nature!

The view was AMAZING! I'm so glad we hiked up to the tea house. We were able to get a seat on the patio whole we drank our tea and sandwiches. Fair warning: they only accept cash! Bring some with you. Also, you have to carry your trash back down with you. The bathrooms are basically nice outhouses that are a short hike past the tea house. They are at least enclosed and have toilet paper.

Lake Agnes Tea House takes about 3 hours return and offers incredible views back across Lake Louise. The house at the summit is a welcome site after 2 hours of walking up hill, and sitting by the window with a hot tea in hand as a fine mist like rain falls outside is a special Canadian experience that neither of us will forget.

Nice little hike. You can walk up with jeans on if it's not too hot out. I would say about 2 hour round trip with taking few water breaks in between. It's may seem longer going up but you could get down in 30 - 45 minutes. I only hike about once or twice a year so it should indicate that it's fairly easy hike. The lake is really pretty and tea house is a plus if you don't take any food up with you.

Lake Agnes Tea House is the easier hike from Lake Louise of the two tea houses, and it's very apparent. The crowds at this destination are pretty thick. Choose Six Glaciers if you are trying to be a little more secluded. Lake Agnes does however have the better selection of food/drink, and the better overall view at the tea house itself.
