Motel 6 Ogden Riverdale

It's Thursday and I got a room without a reservation at 9:50ish pm. The night desk person was pretty great! She even joked with us and made us feel welcomed! I was really worried because of the reviews. Motel 6 is probably the cheapest motel out there without being a cheaper motel used for prostitutes or long term living. The parking lot and some parts of the outside of the motel are a little run down. The room we got put in (smoking and pets) was decent and mostly clean. There were more than a few dark hairs in the bed, mostly under the pillows. Wood floors are nice! (And probably the best business decision ever) Now that I think about it, I don't think smokers rooms are used as much as non smoking so that could be a factor in the overall cleanliness of the room. The TV can't seem to get any steady reception. The window had no screen on it but it opened! This room is great for our one night rest during our road trip. Also, free coffee in the mornings! I had to edit my review. My first interaction with staff was very bad. However, after staying here for a few days, I’ve found all other staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The room service staff is especially great. It’s obviously not a high end hotel, but if you need a cheap place to stay, this is a good option.

We stayed here for 4 days and we were well taken care of. Our room was clean. The pool was cool and nice. Motel 6 does not offer breakfast, so you need to be prepared for that. There also are no refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. The water pressure was a little low as well. The grounds were clean and they are pet friendly, any size dog, with no extra charge. The front desk staff was amazing. Completely friendly!!

Good, no frills budget hotel. My room was clean and in good shape. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had issues with the door lock but maintenance was there right away to fix it. The bed was a little worn (creaky springs), but comfortable. I did not like the thermostat-based climate control. There is no fan option, so it kicks on and off. I had to leave the bathroom fan on all night to have constant background noise in order to sleep. Things to consider - there is no elevator, so if you have mobility issues, get a ground floor room. There is no in-room coffee service and the lobby only has coffee from 6-10 am. There are smoking and non-smoking room, so be sure to specify if needed. You can smell smoke in the hallways. There is WiFi available for purchase.

VERY RUDE EVENING DESK CLERK! Reserved a room in the morning, was quoted a price, checked in at 7pm and price increased by $20. Was told they cannot reserve rooms. Say what? I paid the extra $$, then objected, and the power hungry desk clerk cancelled my room and told me to leave or she would call the police and have them escort me off the property. I am 60 years old, usually quite friendly, a business owner, and I stay at Motel 6's at least once a week. I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED SUCH AWFUL ATTITUDES!! Don't question their bait n' switch tactics OR ELSE!! P.S. Spoke to Assistant Mngr (Marty) the following day. He did everything within his power to make things right. Was assured that "re-training" would start immediately.
