I recently visited Morton’s The Steakhouse during the Labor Day special in Chicago. 3-course dinner for $69. It was a very good deal for so much food! I really enjoyed my visit. Loved the ambience and dim lighting; perfect for an intimate evening on the town. For dinner, l had: Shrimp Cocktail, Salmon Fillet, Lobster Mac & Cheese $12 upgrade, and the Blueberry Cheesecake. Everything was extremely delicious and the service was very good. I was so glad that I had leftovers so I could enjoy the dinner all over again the next day. Highly recommend! The Lobster Mac & Cheese was one of the best I’ve had in Chicago!
Was looking around on Google Maps for recommendations and chance upon this place as it was near my hotel. Ordered lobster bisque, New York striploin, Brussels sprouts and baked potatoes as sides. Portion was definitely on the bigger side coming from an Asian country. Overall, waiter was attentive and friendly with recommendations. Food was good as expected, would come here again.
Whenever we are in the Windy City there are several must on our list of restaurants. Morton's is always atop that list. They have yet to disappoint! My wife is [very] particular about the temperature of her steak, it is spot on everytime. I will have my steak almost any temp except rare or well and they get it right. Service, ambiance, food quality and price all equate to a pleasant experience. Vegetarian options: Vegetables are on the menu, but it's a Steakhouse. So, be advised; Impossible filet mignon is not an option as of my last visit. Kid-friendliness: I have yet to see children there, but I am sure they can/will accommodate little ones. Parking: Valet parking is available. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, this location in River North is wheelchair accessible.
We had an amazing time , the food was amazing, the service was amazing , loved the lighting and wood work . The only thing I wasn’t happy was that they was some ladies taking photos with some guy with a flash that was flashing bright to much and the ladies where poses where not for where we where . But other then that everything was amazing the staff came to our table many times to check on us . just the flash and the ladies poses what took away the romantic vibe .
The dimly lit restaurant was quite full with patrons at 5:55 pm when I arrived. The usher let me walk in and the people at the check in counter took a while to look up the reservation and I was shown to the private room for our group. I also had to use the restroom and it was much dimmer than the restaurant. After getting hit on one of the door knobs or whatever, I ended up in the stall. Saw a toilet roll on the toilet bowl holding up the seat. I guess when men are so drunk they do crazy stuff. The pre-planned menu was great and kept simple without the multiple choices on their actual one. Starters included tuna on a crispy chip, crab cakes and other items that I did not get to eat. Dinner started with the mixed green salad and the combination of blue cheese, walnuts, and vinaigrette was great. But the apples weren't that palatable, wasn't even sure what type they were as it didn't taste like any apples I had before. The seabass was tender and succulent. The jumbo asparagus were huge and it was no longer a struggle to pick them up with the fork. The mashed potatoes were fluffy, light and equally delicious. Others had steak or chicken and I saw everyone tucking in and clearing their plates. Last item was a cheesecake and it was a sizeable serving especially after all the previous items to fill in the tummy. The waiters were all well mannered, attentive and courteous. They took their time to wait on us and were quite hospitable. Incidentally we were meeting for a DEI event and the diversity at the table was complimented by the waiters. Incidentally one of our employees is a vegan and allergic to a dairy and they managed to whip up some items to satisfy the guest without any adverse effects. Vegetarian options: Many items are vegetarian and they can customize according to your needs.
Good steak great service. Classic old time Chicago steakhouse feel. Steak was cooked well. The Caesar salad was delicious and my drinks were awesome.
Morton’s The Steakhouse is amazing… The food was very good and hot to order… The waitress he was very kind and generous. Nice place to dine in again.
A great meal in one the greatest cities in the world. The Cajun Ribeye was cooked to perfection as was my wife’s Filet mignon. Service was outstanding and ended our meal on very sweet note with a luxurious lava cake.
Great service and good food. It's a pretty lovely place for a date or special celebration. We ordered the July 4th special, which has 1 appetizer, 1 main course and 1 dessert. The appetizer wrapped mozzarella is well presented. Main course 6oz Filet Mignon with the grilled asparagus is okay, the Filet was kind of little bit dry maybe because it's 6oz tiny after cook with a butterfly cut, and I requested to have it medium well. The desert was the double chocolate mousse which was amazing.
The steak and food is phenomenal! It's definitely a fun place for special occasions, and while you'll pay a lot, you get what you pay for... Which is a great experience and great food!
