Yolk Marina City

The food was delicious. The menu has something for everyone, traditional breakfast items but also exciting original things too! Our server was so helpful and made great suggestions about what to try. Cute little restaurant!Food: 5/5

We had a great breakfast at yolk! There was a bit of a wait to get in but it wasn't for too long and was well worth waiting. I ordered a salted caramel latte and the avocado toast which had lox on top of it. The portions were large and the food was delicious! The ambience and service were exceptional as well. The yolk is definitely a restaurant I look forward to visiting again!

First time visiting for breakfast on my way out of town on a Saturday morning. Went at 8am and it was almost full. I was seated outside by the street and I had a great waiter helping me. Very attentive and checked on me frequently. I ordered chilequiles as it is a favorite and not easy to find in the NYC metro area. It was tasty and I would order it again. I will return for breakfast on my next downtown Chicago trip.

Ate here twice on vacation. Fantastic chicken and waffles. Red velvet French toast is a tasty little morsel as well. Corned beef hash and cheesy grits were also fantastic. So good!!!

Came across this breakfast spot while exploring the Magnificent Mile in the morning and very glad we stumbled across this place. There was a slight wait but it was well worth it. Kicked off breakfast with a seasonal chocolate peanut butter latte with recess pieces sprinkled on top with whipped cream. This latte was incredibly tasty. For the main course we ordered chilaquiles and hash skillet which were both scrumptious. The hot sauce provided was great but their signature Habenero Hot Sauce gave the perfect kick. I ordered an upgrade for my pancakes and got the red velvet French toast which was simply MAGNIFICENT. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and drink. The overall experience was top notch.

They claim to have the best breakfast in Chicago. I’ve only had breakfast in Chicago once and if there’s a better offering out there I’d have trouble believing it. The food was awesome. Our server was a doll. Forgot her name, sorry young lady. We sat outside today, around 8:45am. Whoever was working that section was fantastic, thank you. All in all I would eat here anytime. I enjoyed my visit at yolk. I came for the breakfast and had a great meal. The wait was lengthy due to the time of day and its location near Main hotels. Despite the wait we were able to get seated within an hour. Service was great and our food came out relatively quickly. I had the all star breakfast and my friend have the country skillet. Both of our meals were good and we enjoyed them. The only thing I wasn’t too big of a fan of was the pancakes. They were just OK to me. The hot sauce and a habanero sauce were good, I mixed both of them and used it for my eggs and meat. Service was good, and our server attended to us as well. As evidenced by the quick turnaround for tables, staff had a routine and place in order to get tables cleared, clean and people out. We didn’t feel rushed and that was what made the big difference. The only reason I’m giving a four-star is because I personally did not enjoy the pancakes. The restaurant was lively, but peaceful at the same time. I will definitely be returning to this location during my next visit.

We stopped by Yolk for breakfast and had a great time. Even though the place was totally packed and a bit noisy and the servers were incredibly busy, the food more than made up for it. We had thankfully put our name down on the virtual waitlist and didn't have to wait more than a few minutes for our table. We ordered the seasonal Citrus Pancakes, which were soft, fluffy and delicious! We also loved the savory Loaded Baked Potato Cakes, which were prepared really well. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would recommend it!

Great environment, enjoyed the place and breakfast was awesome. The waffle Benny was really good eggs perfectly done and the cinnamon roll french toast were well balanced between sweet and tasteful. Our server Steph was awesome.
