I have tried a few other kids hair salons, and I found Vicky to be the best! She knows how to make kids feel comfortable, and the salon is not full with distractions which helped my daughter to not become overwhelmed. There is a tv in front that the child can choose their favourite show. Vicky has never disappointed me, she focuses well and does the hairstyle EXACTLY how I ask, she also takes her time if the child is upset and allows the child to calm down. She also adds in some cute curls and a clip to finish off the new cut! : I love Mops!
We absolutely love love Vicki at Mops on Bellevue. She’s been cutting our son’s hair since he was 1 year old. We keep coming back because there is no one else who cuts kids hair better than she does. With the new pandemic rule I had a hard time getting my toddler to put his mask on and couldn’t get his hair cut. I was feeling a bit like a failure as a mom not being able to put even a mask on my own toddler. We were pondering how to coax our toddler to get his post quarantine haircut. We were thinking of coaxing him by showing his favourite tv show. Next time we got there Vicki already prepared our son’s favourite tv show on the screen. Vicki knows what’s up! She is amazing! We are so thankful for you Vicki! <3
We went for my 3 year olds first haircut. She was very nervous and crying on the way there and for the first few minutes but Vicki was so kind and patient and helped me distract her with some little toys and a show until she was happy and smiling a few minutes into the hair cut. At the end my daughter said" haircuts arnt so bad" which was great to see. She was efficient and friendly and I would definitely recommend her to anyone that is wanting a great experience and a great haircut. It was exactly what we were looking for :
Victoria has an amazing way with children. She makes sure that they are her absolute priority while making them comfortable and at ease. The haircut was incredible, my little man looked sharp! We got lots of compliments. Thank you for everything! See you again soon :
I’ve been bringing my son here since he was one, he’s now 3yrs old. Vicki has such a calming presence about her and keeps a clean salon. My son doesn’t make a peep when getting his haircut as they have small tv’s in front of each chair and plenty of toys. So far I’ve brought three different styles to her and she’s nailed each one, can’t recommend her enough.
Awesome! Won't go anywhere else. She is a real expert. This is a small place which I think is really great as it gives the child a more secure feeling. You go with appointment and your child gets all the attention. There are small TVs which keep your little one busy. One thing I really loved is that she asks and actually listens to your 3-4 year old about how they like their hair !
Professional and attentive, our stylist gave my five-month old a cut and style worth much more than she asked. Finally, a stylist that cares about my son's look as much as I do. Highly recommended.
Very good with kids. My son won't go anywhere else. They have little tv's for the children to each watch their own movie or cartoon. It is a small place with only two chairs, which is perfect because it's not overwhelming for the the children. I find other places that have the whole 'sit in the thomas the tank' experience is overwhelming and too much stimulation which my son did not like. I would highly recommend going to Mops because they care and take the time to do a great job on a hair cut!
Gave my son such a great "litte boy" haircut. He looks handsome and she was so patient with him!! This was his second haircut ever and she made him so comfortable--he was excited at the end to show his new haircut to daddy.
