Enjoyed the buffet so much that we going in next week too. We wasted no time and went right in with our choices - Sarah helped us with her recommendations and everything came in quick. The flavours were spot on and the quality must be spoken as well. Our favorite was the cumin spiced beef - had almost 4 plates. Overall enjoyed the buffet and great experience.
Honestly they do a better job at plating than the taste and quality of the food being served. The entries also tasted better than the sushi. They have a weird fascination with putting asparagus and cream cheese in most of their rolls. The nigiris also had the worst rice ratio. Overall it was an average experience that we won’t be coming back to.
Fish quality is awesome. The appetizers are delicious. I left a 4-star instead of 5 because the service was not very active and the price is higher than other all you can eat sushi. Overall it was a great experience!Food: 5/5
This was my first time dining at Momokoko and it was a delightful experience! The food was not only fresh but also beautifully presented, with my favorite being the black cod from the seasonal menu. The servers were exceptionally friendly and attentive. However, one area that could be improved is the ambiance; I felt that the lighting could enhance the overall atmosphere. Nevertheless, I would still highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious cuisine and excellent service."
The servers were attentive, friendly, and seated us quickly before our reservation! The music in the restaurant was also great. Most of the food was great and high quality, especially the sashimi. The fish was fresh and all the food was played well. We were however disappointed that many of the promised signature tasting menu items were unavailable. We were looking forward to trying the beef, miso cod, and lobster, but they had duck breast, bluefin tuna and hamachi sushi as substitutes. We didn’t enjoy the bluefin tuna or hamachi as the fish didn’t taste very fresh. The sushi rolls, torched sushi, and sashimi also took a long time to prepare. We had to constantly ask workers if our food would come. The fried food/appetizers came quickly and were delicious. The desserts were also amazing! However, for the price which is more expensive than other all you can eat restaurants, we would not come back although it was worth a try.
At first, we were happy; the environment was nice, and the dishes came out quickly. However, later on, we were unhappy because many dishes weren't what we ordered. They were forcibly served to us. The four dishes from the special menu were particularly disappointing. They weren't what we wanted at all. The fish tasted good, but we didn't enjoy anything else. We were okay with the two rolls we ordered ourselves, but we really didn't like anything else. Overall, too many dishes were not ones we chose ourselves. Haha, we couldn't eat much because we didn't want to eat so many dishes that we didn't order. The only food that really impressed and pleased me were those two rolls. For $130 for two people, I was a bit disappointed. There weren't as many memorable dishes as I had hoped for.
While they had some premium menu offerings, they were not entirely executed well and all other regular menu items were mediocre at best. The duck breast dish was especially off-putting. Was not a fan of the Momokoko rainbow roll. It was overpowered by the taste and texture of asparagus. I wouldn’t say it is worth the premium price. The saving grace here is the wait staff are very attentive and menu items came out very quickly.
Good service, good vibe, poor food. If you want high quality Japanese food, go somewhere else. If you just want to fill your stomach with just so so variety, feel free to try.Food: 2/5
I was really looking forward to trying this place because I’ve have seen so many good things online about them. Honestly really disappointed by their food. The quality of all of their food including sashimi was below average and didn’t taste fresh. Their only good items were their specialty items that you were only allowed to order once as it is limited one per person. They were also out of couple items like the tamaki rice when we were there. I also didn’t like that they didn’t have any pictures. On top of that the staff didn’t say what any of the items were so it was hard to tell what we were getting. It wasn’t super busy when we were there but we still had to ask the staff for missing items we ordered. Most other AYCE places have iPad where you can see exactly what you’re ordering. It also make it more organized and less chances for missed orders. For $50 before tax per person, you can get better quality AYCE sushi, somewhere else.
Our first time trying this new AYCE sushi restaurant and we loved it for many reasons: - High quality fish and overall food - Unique seasonal tasting menu limited to 3 dishes per person - Quick service with attentive and kind staff - No lemon water - Spacious- good amount of space between tables - Bright and colourful with a modern aesthetic atmosphere Costs more than the average AYCE sushi per person but the tasting menu and quality is enough to justify for it. Highly recommend. We will be back!
