Love this place! The people in there are so nice, and they patiently explain all their products to the customers. Lots of free goodies for tasting since they just opened. I love their Rose Lychee bun. The staff said they bake everything on site. FRESH everyday! I bought one of their Mixed Nuts European Bread, toasted it with cream cheese, my daughter couldn’t have enough of it for breakfast.
New Asian bakery in the markham village area hiding in plain sight in an unsuspecting plaza and love their fresh new take on items! Taking simple buns and giving it nice splashes of colour totally goes a long way! And to even further it, some creative buns that just have fillings I haven’t heard being done yet! They have a creamy purple rice bun or even a crab salad bun! As well, they’re take on the sausage bun but make it squid themed! And as I was rounding the corner to pay, don’t my eyes behold some loaded croissants! Nice and flakey and so airy in each bite matching that cloudy whipped cream it’s filled with! Service was great! Person helping out at the cash had all the answers and super polite too! Great job overall and welcome to markham! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!
Been at the place 1 hour after they open and half of the flavours are already sold out. The staff said they will restore at 3pm, so I went to the store again at 3. All the buns were sold out again just 10 minutes after they restore . But fortunately all the buns are really tasty! I love the cranberry cream bun highly recommended for sweet lover! and earl gray and purple rice the best choice for people who like non-sweet buns.
Went yesterday evening before closing and still lots of selection. Tried the matcha Mochi red bean bun which was very loaded, I really liked how the Mochi was evenly distributed on the bottom. Will certainly come back again
Such a lovely spot to get your daily bread. The store is clean and neat, and the employees are extremely polite and welcoming. They provide a large selection of buns. The iced butter creamy bread and the crab salad soft bread are my favourite. Definitely will come back again!
Glad we have a new bakery nearby! The owners are extremely nice and their buns are amazing! Soft, tasty and not greasy like some other Asian buns we've had at other bakeries. Well done! We've already been here 3 times in one week lol.
A lot of unique buns in this newly opened neighbourhood fusion bakery. I really like the texture of their bread: soft, moist, chewy, and stringy when eaten fresh, and not to mention it’s always perfectly baked. I recommend trying the rose lychee bun, inside is lychee custard with pieces of lychee and the bun gives it a subtle floral hint. Green tea red bean mochi bun is exactly as the name describes and did not disappoint. I didn’t think I would like the purple rice bun as I thought rice and bread would make the whole thing dry but it was not bad if they added more cream to it. Cranberry walnut bun was also tasty and not too sweet. If you really like chocolate than I recommend trying the chocolate bun, but I personally found it to be too heavy as there was lots of bittersweet chocolate ganache inside. I didn’t really like the crabmeat bun as the filling was a bit dry but the bread in every bun was delicious. Better than most typical bakery’s but their prices strongly reflect that, also the set up of their shop is a bit strange, there is definitely a more efficient way to layout the baked goods as just 3 people can make the store crowded.
All the buns are so tasty. The only down side is that the full bun menu isn't baked everyday so you will have to come back another day if you wanted to other things on the menu. The buns are pricey compared to other Chinese bakeries but ill definitely come back.
I order for delivery; the matcha red bean was good but the cakes, especially the chestnut one were sour and dry. I tried reaching out just to let them know on Instagram but to no avail. Edit: The owner responded quickly and explained the situation to me. The issue has been resolve.
we’re impressed. a real gem in our area. love all the buns we bought, perfect! not too sweet. please keep it that way. we’ll be coming back for sure!
