Minced beef congee - it was tasty but I was hoping more crispy rice vermicelli mixed with beef. Lamb stew - gamey but flavor is good. Rice vermicelli with pork liver - Those who doesn't like pork liver is one thing but this is very well done. They use Chinese herb to make the soup, it's very healthy, the pork liver was just done perfectly, not too cook and not too raw. There chicken that used to make the soup is very tender and flavorful chicken flavor means they use high quality free range yellow feather chicken Broken rice congee with clams - The soup is so flavorful, I was delightedly and surprisingly impressed. Clams were big, it's not really broken rice they just add cook rice into the soup. But it tastes really good. I actually not thrilled with there lamb stew nor the minced beef congee but that's just me. The other dishes I was very impressed. This place certainly from HK with unique cooking skills.
good + authentic. u know it’s bussin when they have the sugar containers with the single circular hole and the dark see-through plastic water cups. specials come with free hot drink. would return
Great food and great price. I went with my wife and we enjoyed our dinner.Recommended dishesIn Soup
It is a hole in the wall place with large portions and good food. If you order the special ‘Wor’, you can’t go wrong. The price is very reasonable with what you are given. Lunch is busy but turn around is fast. There are only two ladies working there, they will get to you when they can. There is no decor, you are there for a quick meal. Lots of takeout also.
I visited this place for a quick lunch and I was totally disappointed for making such decision. The pork I ordered was tough and chewy and the sauce on rice was awful. I couldn’t even finish it. The lady was extremely rude and impolite, so don’t expect any service here. The back door was opened the whole time and it was so cold inside. It was literally no heating at all.
Grew up eating canto/HK style food so maybe my expectations are a bit high. This place is rated $ but it’s really more of a $$ for the quality of food/taste Flavours were extremely one dimensional. The Beef Stir Fried Udon was decent $20 but the black peppercorn was the only taste, otherwise the dish is quite bland. Curry Beef Brisket $15 had dry brisket, and was mostly onions/peppers.
It’s a no frills quick to go Hong Kong style cafe operated by what seems to be a mom and dad. Super affordable food and taste decent for the price point. Their baked pork chop rice is good and large. The minced beef congee is like HK, with fried vermicelli bits, better than Double Double. The best part is this place has no “lunch menu” and “dinner menu” price. It’s one price. Super cheap and good.
The “Chicken w/Vermicelli in soup” is good! Let your body warm after drinking the soup.
The food is great..I used to go there alot until they insanely rise the price to an unreasonable amount ...And the service from waitress definitely have room for improvement.Food: 4/5
The place is sort of expensive. especially when considering what I ordered. I order a dish of Hainanese chicken with rice. Very standard stuff. The dish with a hot drink is $ 14. They added $ 2 for cold drink badly done, the tea was very weak. The worst part was there was so little chicken. There was a grand total of 10 pcs of peanuts. I was still very hungry after the meal.
