They are amazing service is kind, quick. Portions are big, quality good. flavor is not extraordinary but I will def. recommend coming often. Prices are pretty good too I had late breakfast they have an all day breakfast and the "mini" soup is huge Beans and eggs yummy also coffee
Cozy simple food. Solid portions for the price. Quite busy for lunch even on a weekday and they do not open for dinner. I hope they will consider serving food with metal utensils. The plastic spoons/forks is not very environmental and the food tastes different w plastic. Maybe it’s a covid thing I’m not sure.Recommended dishesPork Chop Sandwich
Yummy food, good value and courteous service. We ordered a chicken laksa soup noodles and all day breakfast. Excellent presentation and taste good. I always love small local businesses.
It's an average small neighborhood Hongkong style restaurant. Very polite service and the settings are clean and tidy. We ordered the pork chop rice and chicken laksa. It's not outstanding as someone commented, they use lots of baking soda to soften the meats and left heavy aftertaste in my mouth.
First time here. The interior is much nicer than expected. Expect a long wait to get a table because there aren’t that many tables inside. I went for the Singaporean laksa and it was good 4/5, but not great. i need to try something else on the menu next time.
One note in all dishes - salty. We had the curry beef, Sichuan noodles, noodles soups. Meat was disgustingly salty, as was the soup. Food took a good 40 minutes to arrive during a Friday lunch rush. I cannot believe how busy it was for how categorically terrible the food is.
The food is delicious, the quality & the quantity is above average, most important is the price, cheaper than most of the HK style cafe. The boss & the server are very friendly, they always ask if the customers need anything. The only thing that I concern is they close early at 6:00PM because of the lack of chef, therefore no dinner served, hope they can hire more people to help. According to the overall experience, I will come back for sure.
5 star because every thing comes together for a good experience. I ordered the Satay Beef soup and a side of fries. The soup was huge! Standard flavour and quality. The were also a huge portion. The fries could've been crispier too, a bit soft for my taste. You might have to wait to get a table. - Great service and staff - Huge portions - Decent food
Huge portions! Small cozy Hong Kong cafe style restaurant. My favourite is the Taiwanese Chicken Nugget with rice. Must come and try! :
Checked out Fat Boy Kitchen for lunch on a busy Friday. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table to open up. We tried: - Two luncheon meat slices with two eggs A4 $9.50 - my friend added a mini noodle soup $3.00 along with a HK style milk tea $1.00. Was told the broth was bland, milk tea wasn't flavourful enough and the spam slices were thinner than other HK spots in town. This coming from a HK cafe lover. - Beef minute steak with two eggs A7 $12.50 - my other bud had similar comments about the mini noodle soup but seemed to at least enjoy his steak. - Singaporean laksa chicken in noodle soup $14.50 - broth lacked depth and complexity. Calling it a Singaporean style laksa is misleading. Don't understand the hype with FBK. Average portions, mediocre flavours. 2.5 stars.
