Very nice cozy place for dessert time after dinner. Lots of selection and taste pretty good too. If you pay by cash you will have 10% discount. The staff there are friendly. Will come back again!
Funky little spot, wish they will open dine in soon, the nostalgic Hong Kong vibe brings back memories. The desserts were top notch, and service was great as well. Highly recommend to anyone who likes Chinese desserts.
TL;DR it’s ok, probably won’t be back Service - 0.5/1 You have to order via your phone and you pay at the end of your meal. You don’t get much interaction with the servers so I don’t know how to rate service. Food Quantity - 0.5/1 For you price you are paying you get an “okay” amount of food. I would’ve liked more mango or toppings in my food. Food Taste - 0.85/1 Food is yummy but nothing spectacular. Overall: 3.1
I would rate this 5 stars if the silky tofu is more smooth. Didn’t like the almond dessert as much, it is slightly too thick. Besides that, everything else is fantastic! I would definitely come back for more.
Really cute place with Hong Kong style desserts! I love the decor; they had on one wall mah-jong tiles. They also have a lot of neon street signs which remind me of Hong Kong. They also have a good sized menu with quite a range of traditional Chinese desserts. We had the mango Sago, maltose crackers, street snack combo with rice sheet rolls and curry fish balls, lemon honey tea and Horlick’s. All are really good; can’t wait to go back and try the “creative” desserts. They are busy so just be patient which is easy to do with this amazing atmosphere and design
sesame paste with tofu pudding: very good portion! Tofu pudding is smooth and rich in soy taste. Rich in sesame taste also. Fish and egg roasted sausage vermicelli roll: smooth roll and the chilli sauce is tasty! Fish ball and shumai are normal. Definitely would come back!
Desserts was great, I wished they didn’t use plastic containers though. It is so wasteful since we sat in. The only thing I should mention is the smoothies doesn’t look like the photos, it was quite disappointing since it doesn’t look nice enough to post photos of. The plastic cup with no garnishes is so basic. The interior was so cool though and I love that they played old Hong Kong songs
When you enter, there is a display case with miniatures. It was pretty busy but we got seated right away. We got seated at a table that looked like a mahjong table. Behind us was a wall of all mahjong tiles. The decor was nostalgically reminiscent of HK. You order using your mobile phone by scanning a QR code that is unique for your table. We ordered TOGO the Golden Refresher with mango ice cream, hot Sesame Paste with added sesame balls and the Mahjong Tiles. We really enjoyed the Golden Refresher. The Sesame Paste with sesame balls were pretty good too. We haven’t tried the mahjong tiles as we’re gifting it. It does not look as good as the ones in the pictures on the menu though. I will probably be back to try different things on their menu and also get their Golden Refresher again.
A decent spot for HK style desserts on Kingsway. Very aesthetic looking restaurant with good service. Order via QR code. The desserts were tasty but a little overpriced. The tofu pudding and syrup $6.25 was served in plastic bowls. The ginger syrup was good. The mahjong pudding $23.88 was so cute, but expensive for the amount of food you got. It comes with a coconut layer and a red bean layer on the bottom.
Interior design/decor and service were great. However the food is ok only. I don't feel the flavours are there, so the attraction is more gimmicky than for taste. The food is also served in plastic containers for people dining in, which is very wasteful. If it was reusable dishware, my review would at least be a 4 overall.
