Milwaukie Inn Portland South

I give it 5 star because it exceeded my expectations based on it's price. Older but well maintained. Large room with stove, refrigerator and microwave. Staff is friendly and competent. I have spent countless nights in budget rooms. My hope is for a clean quiet room with the basic amenities. They did not disappoint.

The service is great and it is really affordable and a great option considering there aren't any quality Hotels nearby to give it any competition. The only bad part about the stay was that it is quite outdated on the exterior of the building and slightly inside the rooms as well. Also while mouthwash was provided there was no tooth paste or shampoo which wasn't a big problem for someone who carefully packs. The beds were comfortable and it was really clean. The TVs are extremely outdated but the free WiFi makes up for it. Overall this is a well recommended stay. Also as a tip for anyone looking for late night food there are quite a few fast food restaurants and a 7-11 within 2 minutes drive of here.

My trip stay was split into two different times because we went camping. The first two nights we stayed, we got a beat down room. The carpet was sticky, had an odor and not to mention the TV and kitchen were out dated. The pillows were worn out and the bed was hard. It was way over priced for the quality of room. Now the second stay we had was a much different experience. We got a room that had a nice bed, flat screen TV, no out dated kitchen, and clean floors. The pillows and bed were soft. Seems like some rooms are better quality than others, which is sad because we paid a higher price for a less quality room. How does that make sense? Overall: I will not be coming back to this hotel. I'd rather pay the same price for a chain hotel that has even standards for all rooms, not just some of them. On the upside, there are alot of places to eat and do within walking distance and the max station to downtown is walking distance.

Wow sorry to be blunt here, but this place is a really seedy dive. More like a no tell motel for sure. The rooms were dark, not enough light, smelled of stale cigarettes and musty. The beds were squeaky and uncomfortable and nothing worked in the room. I would only stay here if nothing else was available.

Reserved a room here months ago. They gave us a corner room that was horrid. A/C vibrated the wall and hardly worked. The carpet was so dirty it was sticky. TV from the 80s. I guess than when you are from Salem they think your local and put you in a cave such as that.
