What an amazing spot for lunch! Located at 200 Granville within the same space as Crème de la Crumb, Torn has some amazing and satisfying plant-based meals. Their vegan offerings are French inspired and the sandwiches are so unique and filling. I had the apple and bree French baguette $13.50 and the ingredients were so fresh and flavourful. The bree “cheese” had an incredible taste and texture and paired amazingly with the apple slices, lettuce and sauces. I also had the Tofino kombucha and it was extremely refreshing. I would highly recommend this spot - be sure to go on their website and pre-order!
Incredible sandwiches!! The chickn baguette was so tasty and fresh. I could eat the bread all day. Looking forward to trying other items. Ordering online was very easy and I received a text stating how long my order would take to prep. The store is located up the stairs from the corner of Howe & Cordova and across the courtyard
Thankfully I found a vegan option close to my hotel. I had the Apple & Bree sandwich and, wow, it was perfect. Once of the best tasting vegan cheeses I've ever had. The combination of flavours is outstanding. And the bread! Oh the baguette is very délicieuse. Many thanks for accommodating my drop in without ordering ahead. Much appreciated.
Simple plant based french sandwiches made with high quality ingredients and extremely fresh baguettes. I got to try so many French dishes I never had the opportunity to otherwise. Favorite was the Poulet mayonnaise
The food was so good I nearly died. This vegan version of the French chicken mayo sandwich caused an eruption of flavors in my mouth. So many taste buds I didn't know existed. Sigh... so good. It's a kitchen, so order online before you go. Food takes aprx 30 mins. Then you can eat there inside or outside. Note that It's not a sit-down restaurant though.
WOW! This place is so good. Delicious vegan baguette sandwiches, the bread is to die for The service is so good and the food quality is remarkable. The energy here is really warm and welcoming. People doing something they love and it shows!! Order in advance, its not super fast if you walk in, if you want fast go to Subway. If you want the quality food from quality people eat here!!!
Love the hype for this place and to have these options for vegan sandwiches! Things I wish I was able to find details on beforehand. They are located inside creme de la crumb, I went inside and asked the cashier and she went back to let them know I was here for me. Placing an order online hadn’t indicated an ETA but it takes ~20 minutes? To make the sandwiches alone so factor that in, I came by during a weekday lunch so they were busier then and it took longer. Having said all that, I loved my apple and brie sandwich. Bread was fantastic and flavor was great, ‘cheese’ coming out in all directions, it was highly satisfying. EDIT: two months later was mad craving this and ordered it again. This time I made a note requesting pick up for an hour later : pickup was perfect, as was the sandwich. SO good. I’m interested in other sandwich options as well but right now I just can’t pass on the apple & brie! Even the bread alone is joy.
I had the Brie and Apple Baguette with the homemade chips and it was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu items but grateful a fellow plant-based friend recommended this place as I likely would not have found it. Also love the story behind the owner's mission and why they started Torn!
I don't usually take photos of food but this bagette was incredible! So much flavour. I couldn't decide between this "chicken" and truffle or the apple and "brie", I almost got both but it's good I didn't as this was so much more filling than I expected
Absolutely the BEST! Vegan sandwich that we have ever had. It is always consistently amazing and I cannot recommend this place enough. Dietary restrictions: Vegan
